Ultimately it’s no ones job on here to find a suitable replacement. So all this “who would you get then?” When someone suggests potting PP is irrelevant and a bag of bollocks  It’s the task of on

Mad stats them

Sounds like the players just turn off or the management team can’t rally them

It seems like they have very little confidence in their ability to score a goal

Ps we are not alone

Scoring the first goal in a game is massive in terms of not losing

It's not just us

cue mass walk out on 9min when Swansea score

We haven't won in 39 games where the opponent has scored 1st

Imo Donaldson holds the Ball up a lot better, Magennis does harass but for a big lad gets pushed about easily

But never looks like scoring.

No but I’d play him in a 2 for sure

Magennis is a target man & is most effective when we play the long ball game like in the early season games when we created more chances & got better results. The downside is that there was no sign of us improving as a team that would do anything but survive & the football was ugly .  ( Hoofball  "Booooooooooo" )

Donaldson & potentially Doidge are better players with the ball at their feet & make more intelligent runs, so are more effective now that we are trying to play a passing game. The downside is that it isn't working yet, we're not creating as many chances & the results are turning to shit. ( Too many changes  "Booooooooooo" )

Recalling Magennis would probably improve our chances of staying up this season but hinder the chance of the team evolving ( short termism ) while sticking with Oz & trying to play a passing game is increasing our chances of relegation this season but might move us on in the longer term.

It's a very difficult choice for Parky & i wouldn't like to make the decision.......it's easier to squeal "sack the manager ".

I would start with Magennis up top and Amoebi and Oztumer just behind, hopefully get the ball to stick and they can feed off it.

If it's not working bring Donaldson on as a two with Magennis.

I think it's telling that there's little agreement on the team to play today

Very few have shown enough to be must picks

Even alnwick hasn't been at his very best

Hobbs, a fit Wheater, olkowski and ameobi are probably the only easy picks

I'd add Lowe, but after that, you may as well stick the names in a bag

I wouldn’t be against giving Murphy a run out. I’ve not been impressed at all with Lowe or Williams over the last 10 games

I get the theory but I just can’t away from the fact that we don’t score goals, and we’ve got a fella that’s scored 50 in the last 2 seasons on the bench. We’ve got to work out a system and style of play that includes him in my opinion.

Bag you say?

Like a bingo bag?

Wonder if Phil has a special bwfc one or did he just nick it from mecca?

Might explain where he is when he’s sending his assistant to do all the press

I get what you're saying and we need goals from somewhere. Amoebi gives us that.

However, we need someone to win headers, keep the ball and bring others into play. Magennis gives us that.

To some extent we had the same issue with ALF and he was a proven scorer at this level.

Ameobi, Pole lad, Buckley and Wheater  (cant judge Doidge yet) are the only players on the teamsheet for me, the rest like you say is a lottery.

Decent footballer Buckley, he can play, unfortunately he is injury prone.

Was a decent footballer back in the day, weak as piss, like beevers roll out in desperate times

And I say that beevers and Buckley start today

Sooner have Buckley than Dyer but the Beevers decision suggests Wheater needs resting

Fucking Beevers, Wheater’s got to have a knock surely?

Can’t decide on dyer yet

wheater needs resting fair enough maybe against villa and fresh for today would of thought

Both footballers in the team

Lets see if the rest of em can keep Swansea out

So it's back to launch it Beevers, dropping Wheater after an 8 day rest is fucking madness.
