Today was like any other 20 or so games this season. We were not that bad. But just not good enough. The club is in a massive rut and we need something quick to lift the gloom. The manager is the only thing we can change so he has to go.

We have some very strange fans.

You met meldrew, then

Under the circumstances, an excellent effort.

Sadly, despite me having the day free and it being one of the easiest ones for me to get to, Junior & I stayed home : I wasn't putting her through the shite we had to endure from some of our own "fans" again, as we did at Hull & Bristol.

Wise choice

And could you post pictures to show the class how this is possible?

I was warned about people in here by others, and like a fool I came back.  Thats me out. So long.

Agree with the above sentiments.

But i can explain why at  10.34 am i was stood on the Sheffield high Street in my socks.

Day out started being picked up by Ishy from outside The Albion at 8am.

Mini buzz to Piccadilly , where we had a 40 mins to kill before the train . Excelllent but expensive breakfast. Crawshawbooth knocked back his first ale of the day.

Train to Sheffield uneventfull other than The FGR contingent being on it.

( by god there's some cronazones missing ).

It was during the journey that one of my boot heels came adrift. Much amusement alround. Sputnik ( "Its a fine time to leave me loose heal ")

13 of us arrived in Sheffield. Time to get shut off dry Jan. I headed straight into The Sheffield Tap. That first pint was GOOD. Then onto The Bankers Draft to meet up with the others . Philias Fogg back from a 6month trip was settling in . ( I would have stayed in Singapore). Headed next to ower favorite haunt in Sheffield . The Three Tuns.

On the way i stopped for running repairs . Two new heels for a tenner. Caught up with the others. Excellant chip buttys and further communnity singing led by The Bat.

Princess knocking back the gins . ( Thats what Parkinsons tactics do for people )

Onwards to The Red Deer, well worth the walk . Good ales ( not a Doom Bar or John Smiths in sight).

On to the match , usual unispiring performance served up. Nice to have a chat with Jeep Man.

Afterwards back to Three Tuns( home of Yorkshires largest  collection of Bob Dylan tracks ) followed by a trip to the Head of Steam.

Expensive but some excellant pints of Road Crew. Last minute dash to train .. Too late 4 of us missed it.( vision of top and tailing with Ash ) Urgent phonecalls followed but we did get the 20.45 train .

Mini buzz back to Bolton.

Where i headed back to Howfen.

Sputnik , Sweden Al , Ash and Crawshawbooth headed into Spoons.

Reports this morning of Crawshawbooth and Swede falling out of a taxi up Astley Bridge . Sore heads and being refused Ale in The Tap. But the barstaff did give them coffee and made sure they got taxi's home.

The football may be crap , but the days out get even better.

Wanderers away fans are a stubborn special breed.

One of the more innocuous comments for some time from Micky, quite funny actually, trying to envisage a bloke trying to swallow himself.

Not quite sure what overseas has read into it; but you can't win em all.

Was it something I said? If only it was that fucking easy every other time.

EDIT - And besides which, it was aimed at Burnden Bogs.

May be just as well she has fucked off. Can you imagine the upset she'd feel if she got a Lemon Party photo posted in answer to one of her posts?

It was just a gentle joke by Mickey aimed at myself for my poor (drink fuelled) grammar, but if you're so easily upset maybe this isn't the place for you.

And to be honest, grammar Nazi or not, if it hadn't been me, it'd have been someone else; probably DazBob or the poster formerly known as CWP. Or any one of a dozen others.
