You love putting people in bubbles don't you fella? It's what you live for :)

Just to clarify- I ain't affiliated with any particular environmental movement. If you can't see the urgency of the challenge that we are facing, and the need to raise awareness then you're living in cloud cuckoo land.

People in bubbles? Never. I don't mind the Greeks and would not do any such thing to them.

So are you telling me that you don't have matted dreadlocks, stink of patchouli oil and get around to protests in a 1950's diesel fume belching charabanc? Well I never.

Would you like a private picture for proof? ;)

One for those interested in this sort of stuff. This is a massive positive. These two are at the forefront of tech in this arena and as such pooling of resource and knowledge will accelerate the delivery of the solution.  Daimler is mercedes parent coy for those Who don’t know or if anyone is actually interested

Is this the big news you were telling us about previously?

All good by the sounds of it.

I'm intrigued to know how "refuelling" would take place, guess I'll have to wait and see.

Nope sorry 😁. That’s still to come. Tbf being confined to home I’m not picking up as many snippets as usual from the hierarchy as I’ve limited exposure to them currently. But it is bubbling away still of that I’m sure

Big fuck off 'sterile' spruce in the front garden - pisses the jinn fearing neighbours off a lot. Goldcrests nesting in it and the usual dumbarse Wood Pigeons falling down the chimneys then needing fireplace rescues...Loads of Ivy Flowers and berries elsewhere. Fuck 'em. Love nature they can get to fuck - the trees win.

Bumping this at the risk of setting London Wanderer off again or, even worse, being mistaken for one of his tree hugging, plane glueing, train mounting spacktards on to whom I would like to unleash the Daleks.

This however is sensational and vital and must be cherished and encouraged at all costs for obvious reasons.

You'll be pleased to know I've little words on this.

Amazing video 👌

What In shites teeth is going on in Texas?!

Quote

Texans’ current chill was caused by rapid heating in the stratosphere, the second-lowest section of the atmosphere, 8-50km (5-30 miles) above the Arctic. Known as “sudden stratospheric warming”, it causes the polar vortex—a ring of cold air that encircles the poles—to weaken, lessening the forces that keep cold air corralled at high latitudes. This increases the movement of cold air southward and warm air northward, allowing low temperatures to sweep into typically warm areas such as the southern United States. (This phenomenon works both ways. Britain, for example, will probably be blasted with unseasonably warm air from Morocco in the coming weeks.)

Some scientists are keen to link such cold snaps to climate change, arguing that warming temperatures in the Arctic’s troposphere (the lower atmospheric level which begins at the surface) are weakening the polar vortex and allowing bitter air to escape from the north more often. Climate change, driven by emissions from fossil fuels, is undeniably causing temperatures in the Arctic to increase at unprecedented rates, and far faster than elsewhere on the planet. But as yet, no clear causal link has been proven between climate change and the behaviour of the polar vortex. In the winter of 2019-20, for example, the vortex was exceptionally strong (because of a cool stratosphere), despite continued signs of global warming at the Arctic’s surface. Geert Jan van Oldenborgh, of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute, points out that data show that climate change is making cold snaps in mid-latitude regions rarer and less frigid than they once were, regardless of their cause.

Just weather

Aye probably shouldve put it in there :D

A polar vortex is far from just weather mind. IIRC its what caused the beast from the east.

Bring on the Morrocan heatwave.

Was it last Feb it went mentally hot for a week or so?

One before maybe?

Was over in North Yorkshire for a few days at the back end of Feb last year, and we had a white out, before driving home and seeing massively swollen rivers and flooding all over.

Mother nature will get her revenge, Wipe mankind off the planet and she can start all over again.

Just like she's done 5 timed before us...

Humans don't deserve this planet.

Correct

we’re a virus and we’re making the planet poorly.

Eventually her immune system will kick in and it’ll be game over. And we fully deserve it.
