Let’s say the takeover happens next week, we sign a load of players then play a re arranged game against Donny and win. They aren’t going to have that are they when the game should have been played this week

That bullshit statement from the Hotel Admin tells you everything by saying nothing. The deal is nowhere near at least not from FV. Players who have been hanging on are now taking offers elsewhere and they obviously have no faith anything is sorted soon. You have to work on the assumption that good news will come eventually, otherwise what else have we got? 

In the meantime, we limp through the fixtures as best we can, if it’s not 16 / 17 year olds then use the 8 lads we have who are 20+, supplement it with some others who will play for free and limp on 

miss games and we risk the EFL giving us a 14 day ultimatum like Bury, in that scenario it’s out of our hands! 

Much better to lose the next 4 or 5 games by big margins than miss them all and risk another -12 points or expulsion from the league

You know as much as I do about what’s been happening within the deal. My ‘blind optimism’ has been a mixture of positive thinking and reasonable assumptions around NDA’s. Put simply, I’m trying not to be a critical, miserable naysayer who pretends to know more than he does.

It’s becoming obvious that this ever shifting situation has now taken a rather depressing turn and we’re in considerable shit.

Doesnt make you a dickkead i never said that. We all want takeover to happen but im out of optimism and thats just based on everything thats happened or not happened since new owners announced in February no one has any inside knowledge from reading this thread

Donny fan here, although I kind of understand, you would do well to remember that in the 97/98 season our youth team played virtually every game that season and took a fair few hammerings of 6, 7 or 8 nil. We were relegated out of the league & it looked like we were done. At least if you get relegated you would still be in the league and under new ownership. So for what it's worth I think you be made to play. And I was looking forward to visiting the Reebok.
