And the steampunk crowd can be a bit rowdy, and one steampunk lady’s dress took up half the pub.Joking apart, you know when it’s time to go. If you wait for the right time it’ll never happen. Enjoy everything while you can, you Mrs. Dimron and the currently unspecified dog. Thanks for that... the displacement from what I know is the scary bit but I've been dropping into the local pub as our caravan is nearby.Spent a couple of hours at the hospital having the criach with a mate dying from cancer today and I'm off to recover his various personal odds and sods from his flat tomorrow... as you say if we don't do it now we ever will
June 26Jun 26 @athywhite1958 - sorry to hear things have got worse for you pal. Good on you for opening up but can't imagine how tough it must be.I know I'll be speaking for others on here when I say you'd never be fucking burden to anyone on an away day.Pitch side view and skipping all the cues. I'll happily come along with you another time.Always harder for folk who are fiercely independent to let got an take the support. Can understand why you'd be reluctant. But it's there in heaps if you need it.

June 29Jun 29 Can you retrain to fly hot air bloons?Fewer gadgets for your eyes to have to focus on! 😀

July 5Jul 5 Popular Post Got the call from a doctor on Thursday to get my arse down to the hospital, he rallied but has definitely gone backwards.Spent my 70th birthday in that grey room... in a way it was a good present... the universe has told me to retire, make the most of your health and mobility while you've got it and make the most of every single breathing day

She is waiting for a colonoscopy next but they say that might not be this week. After that if they still find nowt they say an MRI .
July 6Jul 6 Frustrating when it takes so long to do basic investigations. Not going to go into any depth but we've had to go and pay privately to get our son examined/tested/scanned.Waiting time for cardiology is ridiculous. You have my sympathy over the situation: feel helpless, angry, worried shitless etc etc.Takes its toll. All the best to you all.

July 30Jul 30 Father in law passed away last night. Not unexpected, but hurts all the same.Sleep gone out of the window, and that black dog barked in the distance overnight. Grieving and staying strong for the family are uneasy bedfellows. At least the purple cauliflowers turned out nice again this year.

Sorry for your loss. You can grieve and still be strong though mate. There is a real argument that showing your feelings and emotions at this time is a lot better than ‘holding it all in and keeping a stiff upper lip’. If you are trying to do that others might follow your lead and it just leads to a load of folk with pent up emotions. I am not saying go all scouse but equally do not be all German !!

He has said his grandad "went" a long time ago, but he will still need to grieve.
