Moderators Casino Posted October 9, 2019 Moderators Share Posted October 9, 2019 Until a couple of years ago, I used to get really nasty reactions Less so now for some reason Even bites over here round my ankles would see massive swelling If you do get bitten, there's some decent afterbite stuff, including a jungle one Also, anti histemines need to be in your luggage Its not the bite, it's the reaction, after all

Traf
We bought some stuff off Amazon for our trip to Kenya & Tanzania. Spent 5 days out on safari and no bites, mind you it was 90% DEET, I think. I'll ask our Polly what it was called when she gets back in. Traf
Turns out it's 97%! Glad I don't use it... Used to be called Repel, but now branded as Trek... https://www.gapyeartravelstore.com/pyramid-repel-100-deet-mosquito-repellent-120ml.html
Elvis
Aloe vera from the local reggae man supplied in a rum bottle did the trick for me in Barbados. It did smell rather vile though

jules_darby
Got eaten alive by then in Ibiza a couple of weeks back Apparently this summer is the worst they can remember for it. Some new strain, tiger mozzies or summat tried the sprays, wristbands, nothing worked overly well Never ever had a problem with them before. They completely ignored my missus and eldest and smashed me and the youngest. V odd
