Im told his time at preston has been more injurie than games

He defends like alonso, but at this level, it isnt a massive issue

If he stays fit, and assuming bunney isnt far off, then chicksen has to go

Reminds me than Steve Kindon went to Jimmy Adamson at Burnley and said he was thinking of getting engaged and buying a house. Adamson said to him "Son, we're going to build the team of the Seventies around you", so Steve got engaged and bought the house. Three weeks later he was sold to Wolves allowing Leighton James a regular place in the team.

Chicksen  has done a cracking job but for me, if Earl stays and bunney is fit, he goes. We need squad balance, 3 left backs isn’t balanced

If im right, a few of the kids who started the season are filling squad places

If so, i presume theyll be farmed out to create spaces

But we will still be limited by the maximum loanee reg

Keepers, i think we are kidding ourselves to think alexander could play the next 5 months as our keeper, so we need another

Right back, we will go with emmanual and brockbank

Centre backs, we have wright,  hobbs? Zouma and edwards

Left back, chicksen and bunney

Add in earl, as i dont know what he is seen as, and bridcutt and thats 10 defenders

Granted bridcutt might go, and shouldnt be anywhere near the defence anyway, and im fitter than hobbs, i still make it at least one too many

Id like another striker, despite having murphy and dodoo as back up, especially if buckkey is still awol

Midfield is clearly the issue as while darcy is making a decent effort of filling in for crawford, we could do with more and  If verlinden goes, he leaves a massive gap to fill

The big unknown is if we got to choose the future of our loaness

So who are you keeping out of the 2: Chicksen or Earl?

Seems KH likes Earl so he might have made his mind up.

All things being equal and I dunno if they are, I keep earl over Chicksen

But if Hobbs is longer term and if bunney is months off and if Zouma is off and if Bridcutt plays midfield and if Wright goes....

Just had a read of KH comments in the BN, about some of the questioning of his selections.

One interesting sentence was to the effect of "if players aren't backing me, I can't pick them". Not sure if Keith's just being Keith, or if there are one of two unhappy players, but January may bring some answers.

Nowt to with the above but another Burnley story .During the Bob Lord era (same as above) Burnley agreed to buy Eamon Rodgers from arch rivals Blackburn .A fee was agreed & the signing took place in the boardroom with all parties present.No sooner was the ink dry when Bob Lord pointed to Rogers mexican style moustache & said 'that'll have to go , we dont have taches at Burnley'  Rogers leaned over the table grabbed the new contract ripped it up & slammed it in the paper bin.True story.

Any team photo of the Burnley team of that era will reveal no facial hair at a time when sideburns taches etc were almost mandatory for the lad about town.

Ps  I also heard Lord once fined Colin Waldron two weeks wages for nicking his car parking spot at Turf Moor  .Even worse he banned him from playing for two games.

If Hobbs Buckley and bunney were on deals till jan ( not sure if they are ) I would get rid of all three only player out injured worth keeping is Crawford .  keep chicksen and earl at least there fit to play 

Weir and Hall got to be going at least on loan.  That’s 2 squad places.

I can’t believe we aren’t cancelling halls contract. He’s not making it that lad. A shame but he’s way off pace where the first team is concerned

Well he does play, when he has played hes been meh. Not sure what benefit there is to him being here.

If theres owt decent to come in and we need a space, by all means pay him off

Anyway, he's probs still injured, after playing 15 minutes since august
