Why is it pointless? If you have a shield against getting critically ill and that allows you to be in a crowd of people with little chance of you or the other people in there ending up In hospital it would seem to be reasonably positive?

so by the same argument having the vaccine is pointless as well?

It will only work if everyone has the vaccinations which isn't going to happen, thousands are refusing to have it. I can also see businesses overlooking if people have the passport or not which will be a disaster.

Why would having the vaccine be pointless if it stops you getting ill? Its not the same.

It reduces transmission by more than half, hardly pointless

I'm not saying you're wrong. Where did you see this?

Amazing stuff. I retract my first response. But I still think having the passport won't work as planned because of all the twats refusing to have the vaccines available.

Russia admitted about a month ago that they were at 186,000, but that doesn’t show in the figures.

Interesting to see France’s later, as cases have been very high, but deaths disproportionately low.

It's been said for some time.

Exactly how much transmission is reduced will still be being looked at, but early indications are very positive.

French deaths will be due to mass brain blood clots amongst those vaccinated with AZ. Thousands of em.

I'm just having a bad time of it, lockdown fatigue, work, sleep, work, sleep.

I'm not optimistic and still think the Government will throw a spanner in the works with some new variant.

I fucking hate wearing a mask, I've had the vaccine, the students/pupils have been back to school the last 3 weeks and there hasn't been that predicted surge despite extensive testing, and these students are not social distancing, I test every week even though I've had a vaccine, I visit packed supermarkets, I go for a walk and see large groups of kids who are obviously breaking lockdown rules, to me there is NO lockdown, every fucker is out, but there's fuck all open apart from parks and supermarkets which are all packed.

Open stuff up, spread it out a bit, the more that's open, the more choice and space people have. The infections, deaths and hospitalization numbers are low, vaccines are flowing, bring it forward a little, give us something, it now feels we are being told what to do and how to behave.

I genuinely think this route gives us the lowest risk of a variant, if it makes you feel any better it's our home grown variant ripping the arse out of the continent, but our route should reduce the chances of another happening, I was sceptical about schools and beer gardens reopening before those that such actions would mainly effect have been jabbed, but so far so good

Watch this

Sums up where we are right now

I thought the government might give out those decent percentage to everyone instead of saying -

We do not yet know whether it will stop you from catching and passing on the virus.

I got a text two weeks ago, saying I could go on that day as they had extra capacity. Just last week, a couple of my mates, who are both 27 also got texts a few days ago, and had their jabs the same day,one of the lads said when him and his wife (who is about 26) went up, it was pretty empty, no queues (I had to queue for about 25 minutes) - I've not got a clue why the extra capacity, and it seems to be that the process involves getting a text, and then going on line to book a time slot the same day. As far as I can tell its only here in/around Biggleswade, as I know they're still doing the 40-50 bracket 10 miles away in Stevenage

I'm in Wales mate. They do things different here. Usually wait for England to cock up without making any decisive decisions then say ''we told you so"

I've been testing twice a week for the last 6 weeks. Not had a vaccine yet despite been in contact with upto 800 (most juniors) people a day.
