That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

  • My uncle lost his battle to this in Royal Bolton this morning, so he will be one of today’s numbers.  last rites over the phone held by a nurse with no family there. made an exception yester

Give it a week, until people realise how shit it is under the required restrictions, then there will be no issues at all getting a table.

Vaccine passports can fuck off.

Why should young, healthy types - Me, for example - sit by and watch doddery old cunts swan off abroad just because they’re shit and couldn’t cope with a bit of flu?

Get tae fuck

I thought it was just for large gatherings, so concerts, theatre etc

Also, isn't it either a vaccine, anti-bodies or a negative test with a certain time frame?

One good thing about NHS. We get paid full pay off sick.

And fire service but it changed to first six months then SSP.

Full pay for more than a week or two only encourages "slow recovery".

Well yeah same. Six months is a hell of a lot better than others.

Some people take the piss. I actually enjoy my job and the girls I work with so I can't out of guilt!

NHS is a difficult one. I know the frontline staff have been working their bollocks/tits off over the last year, but there's a heel of a lot of admin staff also classed as NHS workers.

Maybe it’s best we’re never allowed out ever again

Not defending anything in that especially the number in grey tracksuits and the leading seeming bottling someone on back of head. But there is going to a period of knobheads acting like even bigger knobheads.

Strange thing is people thinking this is unusual in Edinburgh? It’s really not. Lad was stabbed on portobello beach last year as 200 lads across various young teams went at it.
when the sun is out this is what it’s like up at the meadows and all the open spaces.

they will have had about 5 police there keeping an eye on 100’s breaking social distancing rules and just kept a watching brief til it kicked off then there’s not much 5 can do is there

Just kids who can't take their ale.

Correct. And it’s always been that way. Just now the police are even more invisible than they were to stop it so they are taking more liberties plus pent up frustration

I reckon there'll be pub brawls aplenty accross the UK when the boozers open proper.

That doesn't include data from Wales or NI

Do I want a holiday enough to be pissing around with 3 tests, including one within 3 days of leaving wherever?

I dont trust us to keep out carriers so fuck foreign travel off for 12 months

But, lift all remaining restrictions, quick sharp

What about them rubber dinghy rapids illegally coming over the channel ?

Our softly-softly approach seems to encourage them. Maybe the intercepting boats should be used to tow them back to France.

Why do we need 2 tests a week?

esp once we’ve all been jabbed?

esp once I have had my 2 jabs?

Maybe somebody can design a sea stinger to stop them rubber dinghy rapids in their tracks.

A ship laden with geeks with drones. Each equipped with a dart gun.

Sail up and down the channel using their cameras and deflation systems.

To help determine the effectiveness of the vaccine in the real world, and also to pick up variants quicker.

The information will help scientists determine how to go forward.

Having your jabs, even both of them, doesn't guarantee to make you immune.

I do think it's a massive waste of time and money though

I understand, but the data is showing us the effectiveness of the vaccination programme.

As you say, probably way over the top.
