I have no idea what i should or shouldn't have anymore. It seems to change all the time. Same as what I'm allowed or not allowed to do.

My 77 year old Dad in Spain chased up a first jab. Not yet guiri, >80 year olds still.

I thought the government might give out those decent percentage to everyone instead of saying -

We do not yet know whether it will stop you from catching and passing on the virus.

It's not an absolute. Can't say 100% you can't pass it on after vaccination, just that it reduces the likelihood.

Throughout all of this, hundreds of studies and data gathering exercises are being done to help make future decisions. In depth testing is just another tool to that end.

apparently there is a rise in france which is the SA variant

and AZ doesn't work against it

maybe we need to be adding them, and other near neighbours, to the red list and stop them coming in too, as we start to open up again

I guess the big issue there is the freight that comes into Dover - unless, we're going to pull over every single lorry and do a test on them there and then, and if positive turn them back round (or ideally, get them tested over the other side)

Think we're testing every driver coming in.

Anyway, the EMA are about to announce a link between the AZ vaccine and blood clots.

Don't expect the vaccine uptake to increase quickly in Europe now.

I would have thought that they are already doing that, rather than just waving anyone through, though you never know

It is what it is.

I have a massive tent and loads of camping gear. I think camping is shit but am considering renting it all out for £500 a week over summer as apparently they'll be in big demand.

Any takers?

You would hope it is already being done, in fact it must be....

Good luck.

Just ordered my lfds from gov.uk

Bit long winded, and selected to collect them at first from a local site. Only to discover they're all closed!

Can get them from chemists but my usual one has only just ordered some, so I went on line.

😎😎 yep just need to keep away from the unvaccinated sorts.

that’s if it hasn’t killed me but I’m assured it won’t and I’m going to the hospital for mine as well

nice one, I presume you've had medical conversations and assurances, as opposed to just going for it?

Yes I had the conversation with my GP as per casinos advice and they went away and   Discussed it somewhere with someone and came back saying it won’t kill me but I have to go to the hospital to have it in case of any complications as clearly a hospital will have the necessary expertise to deal with anything that may arise. Jabs the day before my birthday so I’m sort of writing my birthday off now and might get smashed this weekend instead

Have a massive snort of beak just before you go in. Might be quite trippy.

Load up on vitamin D.

Been taking it for a while, but made sure to take it everyday in the lead up to the jab.

No side effects- maybe coincidence but won't do any harm.

Hope it goes well. Good to hear that it’s being done in hospital with your previous history

Good luck with it.  Takes some balls to do it given your past vaccination experiences.

Had to have mine in hospital due to history of anaphylactic reactions (though not for a good few years now). They did ringing round to GP before hand and then kept me in for half an hour afterwards which gave them summat to do as, unlike the queues at the local GP when it was offered for a day, I only saw 3 or 4 others come in during the hour or more I was there. Thing is that service didn't come up when you went on the normal NHS site back then (week and a half ago) - it was just giving options that were 15 miles away (as opposed to a 15 minute walk)  - I only heard about it through someone at work. So they obviously still had teething troubles in terms of getting info out. Crap kip that night and a painful arm for a couple of days was all I got in terms of side effects.

Cheers.  Deliberated long and hard. But came down to do I want to face a future of battling with various foreign embassies as to why I’m allowed in their country due to having an exemption or not. I can’t see Thailand etc having any of it at all. Vaccinated or you ain’t coming in.

im well insured so if the worst happens she will be looked after and I’ve lived a good life 😁
