Its estimated that in the 300 years of slavery circa 12m slaves were taken from Africa to the New World 

Its also estimated that around 9m people are slaves in Africa today! 

Makes me wonder why people are so focussed on statues in the U.K. and bringing down capitalism when they could be working towards ensuring the freedom of 9m people
