July 16, 20205 yr 46 minutes ago, Mr Grey said: Everybody hates Leeds, except Leeds fans themselves. "We would have taken 10 million ... " I think even most Leeds fans have some sense of inner-loathing. And I still maintain all the talk about how good their support is utter bollocks considering that, not only are they a one-team city, but they've also got all areas east, north and south of the city to aim at until you reach Hull/Middlesbrough/Sheffield. Probably one of the biggest catchment areas in the country.
July 16, 20205 yr I think Alan Smith played longer as a holding mid than as a striker, huge decline Just checked the stats and he has scored a total of 6 goals since 2005 Edited July 16, 20205 yr by jmjhb
July 16, 20205 yr 10 minutes ago, Mr Grey said: Agreed, this conversation always pops up. And most towns in the area like Huddersfield, Doncaster have huge support for Leeds in their towns. I have a couple of mates who are Leeds fans, and to be fair they are sound lads. Colonel loves this debate

I recall it wasn't even a tackle, I think he was trying to stop a quick free kick or something, against Liverpool

July 16, 20205 yr Don’t mind Leeds tbh. Mum’s side are all Yarkshire and from the area. Great grandad played for Leeds City Thankfully though my Dad steered me in the right direction
July 17, 20205 yr Last time Liverpool won the league was the last time Leeds got promoted to the top division.
July 18, 20205 yr Leeds ? What has happened ? First night out since lockdown tonight. Am hoping for a spike in virus cases so it gets called off. Edited July 18, 20205 yr by Ani
