Got absolutely mullered in some games and did ok in 2 of em. 

The standard was ridiculous, some real teams there and a bit of a rude awakening for us. We were missing our 2 center backs today.

They never gave up though.

Loved it pal, great set up and cracking little bar.

Bet it does well for functions and stuff. Some old guy was in the members bit bang on 11 for his medicine

We got a big tournament over here on August bank Holiday. Irlam FC can stay at home though, they are way too good.

Good set up there- a few of the Year 11s my lad played with are signed. Cup final held there, a few ties with Oldham

Brilliant, is he the same age as Lucas? 
 

It’s my lads last season were he’s allowed to play grass roots, I’m secretly hoping he gets bombed from Salford at the end of this season so that he can continue with GR. I will miss those all Day tournaments

yeah same class... wait until your going across Europe though! Even with Salford's modest budget, they should still get some decent jaunts

I keep telling Mel I will go and watch them, I’ll get some games in next season. And  Balls to that, give me a tourny in the middle of Salford or Liverpool any day 😂

I’ve avoided what football I can since FT- all a big melee at the minute; can argue the toss about teams in white, but for now I’m concentrating about a club in sky and white- I’ve been honoured by being voted clubman of the year at my grassroots side and, my lad was on hand to make the presentation.

 

Any of you involved at this level, however irrelevant you may feel, please remember you’re an integral cog of a bigger machine. You can shape a childs life- how would you like them to look back on you in 20 years?

Superb work. Grassroots football is reliant on the many many hours of hard work from thousands of volunteers. It’s not why they do it but it’s still nice for them to be recognised from time to time 👏

It’s superb the amount of hours that he likes of you, Ben, Andy and Karl put in. NW are a brilliant set up and and it’s down to the likes of you lot (amongst others). Well done mate 

Jacked in coaching my sons team a few weeks ago. U8 going into U9 and the behaviour of a couple of the kids was f-kin appalling. Parents hid behind their neurodivergence and it got to the point refs were walking off and opposition managers were abandoning games. 1 little cvnt in particular started bullying my lad towards the end of last season, because he didn't like me punishing him, or making him sit out training. I brought in a code of cunduct and the parents reported me to the club, for setting him up to fail. Club wanted me to do a specialist training course on how to coach and mentor children with ADHD. £250 and the club wouldn't pay - My team, my player, my problem, my expense - Fvck that!!!

Took my son elsewhere now and jesus christ he's absolutely flourishing. He's gone from a talented, but timid player who looked bereft of confidence to a little monster doing stepovers, rainbow flicks, cruyff turns and smashing into lads twice his size! Love just being able to watch now and shout at him in the car instead of on the pitch! 🙂

My daughter though, had a trial for Salford Schools last week and I forgot to take her!! Shit Dad - If anybody has the details of the people that run the trials, any numbers or owt would be appreciated. Emailed them, but no response
