Unfortunately he’s not playing up.. he’s actually a young one at 13s and by the looks of things a late developer. In terms of sizes this season it’s carnage. Some are like men and some like my lad could pass for primary school age.. size seems to be a big driver for county at the minute  so it’s a tough time for my lad!

his group have been given the night off training to go down and watch. So I’ll no doubt be there.

Green banana bud, hopefully they look after the late developers knowing they’ll ripen eventually, but I know they are brutal and come along way in a short space of time… say hi, I’m usually the fat knacker underneath dibble on the pitch 😂

They’ve always said don’t worry about it.. he’s with them for the long haul to be fair. In certain games this season he has just lacked game time because of it…

😂 I recall that incident... Me and my son where sat in the home end that evening 😒

Lost 2-0; maybe against the run of play… County keeper made a couple of worldies, but should’ve put chances away

big learning curve for my lad, needs to learn to deal with defeat.

physical team Stockport- one lad trains with first team, and Burnley centre half has a broken tibia.

i need to keep my mouth shut more often too

Thought there wasn’t a lot between them. Stockport probably edged the first half Burnley the second. Definitely but for a couple of very good saves it would have been a draw. I saw your lad was upset at the end. Tough one to take in a final.. the game was a decent watch though.

Fair play… need to put that in a corner; always summat to learn from

From a coaches perspective? Amazing reaction, but if you get one hand down, the second can follow- defo not just a bitter dad 😂

😆.. Great experience for your lad though. Could see particularly early on a few where very nervous… your right about Stockport being physically bigger. Lad in midfield was huge!

That's a great save fella 👍

Richard… scored the second. Trains with the first team and plays for Salford Schoolboys with my lad… that will be fun 😂

He’s talking about it now… pre match talk and plans sent out concentrated on set pieces… told the only way they would concede was via set pieces. They’ve not followed plans on either- need to see it back, but apparently someone breaks the wall on the free kick, so he had to take a side step to be view… which changes his trajectory

honestly, I was a fair decent grassroots keeper, but the knowledge of the game these boys have; tactical, strategical, statistical and physical… they should all have a decent career in the game at some level

Just seen the free kick again .. can’t be too critical on him for that. It was some strike!

I don’t even bother with my lad anymore. He knows far more than me 😂

He’s just shown me- he’s absolutely fuming with himself… but if you watch, he sets up a 3 man wall. The kid in the near post just peels off and opened it up

I get his frustration, and he needs to learn… but fuck me any player doing that in a Saturday would get slaughtered

My lad went in nets today cos the usual keeper cried off sick an hour before our game against best in the league

Good lad… it’s takes a lot for anyone to step up. It’s the most undervalued and assumed position on the pitch, fair play to him

Dead chuffed for him. Got MOTM last week n all in his usual position at centre back.

Daughter won 4-2 today taking her team to 21 points after 9 games. First season in the second division and she's captain too. Headed one that came down from the moon that I celebrated harder than I did Collins' goal yesterday. Love it.

I recall discussion here about apparent Trans players in a Manchster area girls youth league whete one club in particular seemed to be playing a lot of hulking blokes in a women's team.

Well this may be of interest "Transgender women will no longer be able to play in women's football in England from 1 June, the Football Association has announced".

Not sure how it ever got out of hand tbh.

That's shit for the lads and staff involved. Can see others following suit.

Surely there's just no return on the investment.

it is a huge waste of time. big clubs just take whoever they want. kids won't be saying "i will stay here where i may get a chance" they will be off to the bright lights and posh kits

They got a call an hour before announced- out of the blue, and jobs being advertised this morning… a right shit show
