Its only when I have seen that fixture list has it truly hit home how far we have fallen.

  • There's a big positive here. We can complete the season then all stay down there for our FA Cup Final appearance.

  • Can see me having Xmas at my mums and joining you boys for this

I used to love Grimsby away in the 70s & 80s drink in Cleethorpes then best fish and chips in the world walking to the ground, full away end, brilliant

If you went the game in September 72, you're a good un.

Come to think of it, that might have been the day the boot got done in - Boxing Day. It was one or the other. Deff not the 1st season and deff not since

Got done off one of their lot with CS gas after the Boxing Day game, not a pleasant experience. Couldn't see a fucking thing but heard pure chaos around me.

Yea we lost that one I think, 0-1 or 0-2 can't remember, we tended to draw at their place in the 80s from what i can remember 🤔

We play Harrogate at Doncaster on 3rd. Their first proper home game is on the 17th.

Be a few hoping for a timely Covid outbreak and it being put back till later in season

Denies the opportunity to complete seeing  Bolton away at all 91 other League teams grounds ( in league and cup )  - assuming can get in at Barrow , Forest Green ,Morecambe , Salford and Stevenage - which would be first time it will have happened - and opportunity might not come along again

Not going to happen for me as I need at the very least the Colchester game put back as well .

Aye, I had a chance of completing the  "seeing Bolton play at all 92 league clubs  (not grounds) "  this season, but there's no chance now. I'm still counting the friendly at Morecambe though 😊.

I assume “seeing Bolton play” means at an away venue rather than just play.

or more to the point, an away venue in the club’s own town otherwise Harrogate atDoncaster would count, just like Wimbledon at Selhurst Park would.

Strict rules in our family. Counted that I was 52/92 last season (including Bury); doesn’t include the likes of West Ham (Boleyn), Leicester (Filbert St), Spurs (WHL) etc. as my brother insists it has to be current grounds. 🙄

So your ticks-in-the-boxes for Bury and Wigan stand for nothing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Is that because he didn't get to go to them?

Course they count

Certainly works in his favour for Leicester now you mention it 😂 I did the 5-0, whereas he’s been to the King Power.

The likes of Yeovil piss me off. All that effort only for them to drop out and become meaningless. Such a shit town with awful beer too.

Rules of the ‘92 Club’ is that it is the current home ground of each club. But each to their own and all that.

Aye

But, was it charlton who played at west ham for a bit

Would that count?

No that’s very true, and in real terms I only really count the ones where I’ve seen Bolton. And even then I don’t see it as an all out goal, it’s just a case of going to as many of our games as possible and picking the grounds up as a bonus as time goes on.

That said, I must point out that I’ve already been to Barrow, Harrogate, Salford and Stevenage watching Leigh RMI. Would have been even more of those had Carlisle v RMI not been moved to Gretna(!) and Morecambe and Forest Green are at new grounds since then. Didn’t bother with Exeter or Crawley, though I saw the latter’s first ever game in the Conference at Leigh on the opening day one year. Think that shows more than anything how far we’ve fallen (or how far the others have climbed depending on how you look at it).

Won’t stop me trying to see BWFC at as many of those as possible, mind.

I've probably seen us at about 130 grounds so I count all I can

Wouldn't count Gretna though

Doesn’t matter if it’s with bwfc or watching a game as a neutral it’s a ground ticked off

I'd say it depends what you're up to

I'm not arsed about doing all 92 just for the sake of it

Watching us at 92 would be something, though

My 92 rules...............you can't count shared grounds like Harrogate at Doncaster or you'll be counting the same ground twice......but it's a bit more tricky when they're sharing with non-league like Wimbledon recently.

It doesn't have to be the current ground, just the team's own ground at the time ( or we couldn't have done Spurs or Brentford now )

It's got to be v Bolton........but another grey area 😊 is whether it has to be a competitive match or do friendlies count ? (Yes )

I’d count friendlies. I’d also say in the case of shared grounds that you’d have to see both ‘home’ teams, if nothing else because the experience is likely to be totally different for the two.

Just booked a hotel in Morecambe for April 24th - start of our promotion party 🎉
