Law of averages something would pay off and wasn’t he the only player on the pitch capable of doing that

It would help if there was someone in the middle for him to aim at but since we don’t have an out and out target man anyway, what’s the point of crosses?

Tbh, in this league, you get the ball in the right place theres every chance the fucking defender will score it for you

Has anybody else noticed not being credited for home game payments to iFollow when a ST holder. You have to enter all the details as if you’re just buying but they’re supposed to not charge with the code the club sends but mine have all been charged and no credits?

Thats the point

Yesterday he didn't seem capable of it

I'm not really arsed either way but I dont get the criticism of evatt

Hickman was a 6 at best, its not like he was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch

You kean you're paying a tenner?

If so, you're doing it wrong

You need to both enter the code and press apply

If you're struggling, just stick a random 16 digit number and 3 digit cvv

Still 30 mins of the game left

anyway hopefully IE will be all over crossing in training

Aye that’s exactly who we need. Someone quick with a shit final delivery

He’s quality & causes problems for defences. Stoke won’t want to risk him playing in League 2 - too many cloggers.

That’s where I’m at. There’s loads of reasons (or any combination) he may have considered in taking Hickman off and none of them are suggesting that Hickman had a bad game or that he can’t continue playing RWB

- Good first half but became less effective as match went on

- He wanted to see how Brockbank played there as his options are limited currently.

- Isgrove is currently unavailable so there was no obvious replacement

- He was knackered, he played 90 mins Sat and Tue

Where's Morais nowadays? 😉

PS I'm with Evatt.
If your role is to put balls into a certain areaand you don't do it, then you're done for the day.
If there's nowhere there when you put it in, that's someone else's failure.

Morais is a free agent after leaving Crawley this week.

If he's affordable he would be a tremendous signing. If he's affordable.

He didn't play ninety minutes last Saturday but I agree it's wise to manage his minutes considering the position he plays and that he's realistically the only fit player we have to play that role. Evatt confirmed that he changed it because he was frustrated with his delivery, though. His crosses weren't as effective as they should've been, but he was getting into positions to ping them in and we didn't seem to have much else of an attacking threat.

He took a gamble by disrupting the back line in the hope we might be better off having Brockbank out wide, but I think the chances of that being the case were always going to be low.

Cheers Casino, I’m sure I did both, put the Code in and hit apply. I followed the instructions I was sent but obviously somethings not right. Next time I’ll do as you say and put a spurious card number in. 👍

Did you click the "Pay with these bank details" (or similar type message) pop-up when you entered you credit card details?

If you click that rather than the "Pay" button at the bottom of the screen it will charge you even if you put the code in.

Could you also point out the big white netting to Doyle, and apply the same rule to hom too ?

I see what you’re saying and my point is semantics I suppose, but IE didn’t link the criticism he made as to to why he took him off. His criticism of the wing back play was tied up in a general criticism of our attacking play in the final 3rd and was no doubt ONE of the reasons he looked at in subbing him. And as we agreed overplaying him and testing other options would have been in his mind too.

IE post game criticism of attacking play - which is pretty much spot on;

“We have got individuals who would make a difference missing – Lloyd Isgrove and Shaun Miller are injured and could have made that difference in the attacking third. We’re missing Gethin (Jones) as well,” he said.

“For whatever reason on the day it wasn’t Doyler’s (Eoin Doyle) day today and Nathan (Delfouneso)’s decision making and reliability in the final third wasn’t good enough.

“And the wing-backs’ crossing wasn’t good enough. We had enough opportunities to put the ball into good areas, we just didn’t do it.”

He might not have explicitly stated that he took him off because his crossing was poor, but he did say "the wing-backs' crossing wasn't good enough", substituted both of his starting wing-backs, and made no reference to fitness.

There's also this:

Hadn’t seen/heard that part of the interview, fair enough 👍

Whichever way he’s come to his decision, he’s got good reason(s) to take him off.

I've no problem with Hickman coming off, he was poor, but it seemed to make the problem worse by putting Brockbank/Baptiste on the right flank, arguably weakening 2 positions.  Any player can have a bad game and deserve to be hooked but at least replace them with someone that can realistically do the job.  Brockbank rather than Darcy for a team needing a goal is a mystery, as was Comley for Tutte when surely we were crying out for the the extra attacking of threat of Gnahoua.

Morais would have to have gone massively backwards not to improve the right side of this team, he's virtually worth a place in a Div 2 team just for his corners and free kick delivery for me.

Definitely. Impact sub when you really need some decent deliveries/free kicks pumping in.

He must be 33/ 34 ish now? So playing for 90 mins will probably be beyond him.

I agree, the subs didn’t make us better. And both at the time and even more so, retrospectively, having not got a win, the subs didn’t feel like they were going to add anything attacking wise.

Whether or not I agree, I can see what he was doing and why he was doing it.  He felt the formation and process was right, but the players on the pitch weren’t executing it (see comments above) If Gordon or Brockbank put a better quality ball in and we score we’re all happy.

Darcy isn’t a RWB and isn’t going to play there. If Hickman doesn’t for whatever reason play, what are IE options in this formation? He felt he had to give it a try. Maybe next time he’d do it differently.

Comley for Tutte was like for like. Tutte was tiring.

Baptiste was sent on as an experienced head to provide some security at the back (ok he wasn’t as assured as he should be), but again you can see the reason.

Using the other subs would have probably meant a change in formation which he didn’t think was the answer.

I make the same point as I did last week. We can discuss what our thoughts and opinions are that’s why we have 20 pages. But we have to trust IE. This is still work in progress.

I'd sign him just as someone who can deliver a corner for a start. Stick your fucking head on this Eoin.

He's the same age as Baptiste, 34.  At this level, no way is it beyond him to play 90 minutes.  Championship is different when you're chasing top players around, many of whom are ex-Prem or future Prem.  I've not seen a player in this league yet that I couldn't have kept up with in my 30s (OK slight exaggeration).  But its so one paced, I'm not saying there aren't some decent players but anyone that's had a career in pro football can keep up with this pace of football as long as they keep reasonably fit, which Morais seemed to do.

Well when you put it like that, maybe he could last the 90.

Such a top fella, i'm sure he'd love to end his career playing for us.

Give his agent a bell Ian.
