Scrappy 1-0. Would take that all day long

8-0

Erryting dicks

3-1, i finally win some money... on my bday

2-2

Is Holloway still manager here?

Should have been first game back this.

A real autumnal battle.

A score prediction either way would jinx us though. So 0-0.

He’s always done all right against us that fella

Wouldnt be underestimating this lot given their league position

Grim for the Mariners. 2-0.

Part owner too, isn't he?

a win, any win

2-1

Can those who didn't bother tuning in to watch against Harrogate please do so again, ta.

Anything less than a win would be disastrous one step forward two back

They haven’t played a competitive game since mid September and then got spanked

3-0

Any win will do.

I'm definitely tempted to stay away from the stream and radio again.

Just in case it was me watching or listening that made them shit.

I seem to remember from the Barrowcelona podcast (feels like another age!) that Holloway is one of Evatts greatest mentors and they're close friends.

As long as Evatt doesn't try the Colin Hunt aren't I whacky schtick I suppose I'll let him off.

Can't remember the details, but read an article about Holloway that broadly said that away from the irritating "bit of a character " media persona, he's a very decent bloke.

He'd probably have been Evatt's manager at Blackpool.

Anyway, we'll sink the mariners, eh, eh, 3-0 or 3-1 & i might  even try to get this ifollow thing

3-1 to us

Mark Fish, Andy Codd and Mike Salmon banging one each in the net.

That twat Clive Mendonca scoring his obligatory goal against us.

Did mendonca score a hat trick in the opening day 3-3?

Yeah.  Mixu got 2 for us.  We also drew 3-3 with them at home that season (Coyle got 2).  Cant be many fixtures in history where both games were 3-3, it always seems to be a good game with them.  Loved the 6-1 win around same era.

I listened to a discussion between him and Colin Murray on 5Live during lockdown, he really is a decent bloke and chats less shit than he does around football. He talked about his art, his kids who are profoundly deaf and what they do to support them, his attitude to life etc. Was uplifting to be fair!

I listened to that too.  Top bloke and interesting fella.  Lived in 43 houses apparently, doesn't buy, just rents.

Going off topic but I listened to the Stuart Pearce chat in the same series, expecting to turn it off after 5 minutes, but he's another I could have listened to all day coz of his enthusiasm, attitude and humility.

Pearce was a sparky early on iirc, probably gave him a reasonable grounding and made him appreciate what football gave him.
