The 2020 USA Presidential election

The eve of the maddest show in the world

Two senior citizens battling it out to become the most powerful person in the world

The most decisive election in years, which no matter the outcome, the whole country is anticipating civil unrest.

Yes folks the loonies are well and truly out of the Asylum

Forget the polls, forget what you think will happen one thing for sure is it’s always unpredictable and I cannot wait

Buckle up Dorothy

Id have more respect if someone said hey YKnow what I wanted a Republican in the White House, but Trump wasn’t the right guy and I got it wrong.

You can say that you can be wrong and it’s ok.

Dithering dodderer 😂Then what the fuck is Trump.

Jesus Christ.

Bolty was always going to react this way when Trump lost.

Mounts is seething but keeping a lid on it by and large.

Bolty is slipping in his own tears and will be absolutely scarlet faced, which is dangerous in those temperatures.

The Senate should provide the requisite checks and balances

Id have more respect if someone said hey YKnow what I wanted a Republican in the White House, but Trump wasn’t the right guy and I got it wrong. I would always want a Republcian in the White House over a socialist. If you care to check, I have always said Trump is a lunatic but an entertaining one who severely pisses off despicable fuckers such as Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

You can say that you can be wrong and it’s ok. Wrong about what?

Dithering dodderer 😂Then what the fuck is Trump. A lunatic but, still a sharp mind unlike the dullard he is being replaced by.

Jesus Christ.  Not a believer mate. Mind you Freddie Hill was God.

Now come on. You're being a bit silly now. Italics above.

Let’s see how Biden does in the world stage, dealing with the likes of Putin, Israelis, Arabs and the Chinese, in gonna say it’s car crash territory.

If he's got any of this left in him he'll do just fine

One thing is for sure, he won't just sit there spouting off and name calling on twitter

Georgia turned Blue, Biden leads by 900

Pennsylvania to follow later today no doubt

If Biden holds Arizona and Nevada that’s 306 in the electoral college, same as Trump got against Clinton 4 years ago

I've not had the TV on for a few hours, is Trump still bleating away that it's been fixed/rigged, or is he going to go graciously?

Bolty is reacting like Trump is.

That's the measure of the man.

Hahahaha

I am assuming Bolty has me on ignore, and I’m in his little outback jail with a hundred other site members.

But his fury over the last two days has been like a fine wine.

He won't have you on ignore, and from memory he doesn't have loads of people on ignore  -  it's about 9, and when he get's to a dirty dozen (I think) that's when he'll leave the site apparently

No way does he have your good self on ignore Spider

I would hope not.

His political leanings have become ever more polarised and feral over recent years, but he's not all bad.

Very interesting this, was thinking about it recently. On the face of it, it should he easier to deal with Trump.

They were talking about it on the wireless, and they said similar to what I was thinking- Trump is very much 'anti green' whereas Europe is moving more in that direction. Including us.

It might well work out better if we share similar goals and technologies.

Just mentioned it again on the BBC.

We wouldn’t have got a deal out of Trump in a million years

He wouldn’t have agreed to anything that was t massively in his favour

I’d like to think Biden will be more pragmatic , even if we are behind the wider EU block in the queue

I wouldn’t hold your breath for a trade deal with China. I don’t think they have ever struck a comprehensive deal with a western country

Add in disagreements over Hong Kong, Human rights and Taiwan in the near future and if anything we are drifting in opposite directions

I agree that Trump is a street fighter and would certainly make life difficult, though he would also want to be able to open up the UK market for American industry.

Hopefully the new set up will be more level headed. I dont buy this queueing business though. A bit of rhetoric I reckon there: they'll want a trade agreement to show America their worth.

We'd have been behind the EU block even if it was Trump, no matter what he was saying. He's a businessman first and foremost, so of course he'd have gone for a deal with the EU before the UK, to not do that would have been a really shit business decision.

I'm not sure it'll affect the UK either way, who is in power, with regards to a trade deal with them

It’s not about queuing, the EU is a much bigger market than the U.K. so it’s the much bigger prize for the US. It will quite rightly take priority as it should (from an American point of view)

Any trade deal we do with them will then have to fit in with the US:EU so we aren’t seen as some sort of back door into the EU

However I can still see a substantial free trade deal for everyone which is the main thing

Not do both at the same time then?

We are managing it, so why couldn't the USA put some more on it?

We've already sorted Japan, and they won't want to be watching as more places come to agreements.

Let’s not forget, any free trade deal with the US MUST include an American veto on any future trade deal we make with other countries. This clause then stops us becoming a back door into the US for any other country

We could start negotiations with the US but any deal will be likely to change once the much bigger EU:US deal is agreed, again both the EU and US won’t want us becoming a back door into them for the other party
