Sean dyche

Not dead or gay(as far as I know)

Does he have a point with the statement he made about the possibility of footballers and staff being vaccinated and so ending the twice a week tests and plunging the money that saves back into the NHS.

I can see both sides of this but what would the general consensus be ?

No, you are right. We should scrap the current guidelines, let everyone who can afford to pay go first, and then if any of the vulnerable are still alive, then vaccinate them. Because that w

  • So you're saying if you've got the money it's fine to jump the queue, all the while those who DO actually need it get pushed further back?

  • I'd rather football was postponed than the likes of Kyle Walker got a vaccine before someone who actually needs it

No.

What he says makes perfect sense ... but from a moral point of view, IMO, it's just plain wrong that professional footballers get a vaccine before those that really need it.

There's enough money in football for them to pump some into the NHS if they so wish.

PL clubs will get this to happen OR they'll buy the vaccine direct and bypass the NHS.

They won't wait until their turn in the queue comes.

Too many footballers are thick as fuck and have parties, trips to Dubai, go for a spin with a car full of their mates etc.

Back of the queue for vaccines.

Because they're so thick is why they need a vaccine :D

Oh, and do you think footballers break the rules more than the general public?

Because I don't. It just gets more publicity

So are a lot of the general public.

What's the issue, so long as the vaccine supply is outstripping the rate of innoculations why would anyone have a beef with a few being sold privately??

In fact as a tax payer don't we want the government to act like a cartel in this instance and sell some excess vaccines to the highest bidder, offset some of the huge costs!

Said it a few days ago; get em vaccinated

Good for morale

No.

Not sure vaccine supply is larger than public demand is it?

They should be fitter and more able to get over it, so not as important as older folk and footsoldiers.

Anyway, Dyche will have a bit more to worry about now that the loony septic has taken over.

In fairness, he doesn't. He did stipulate if supply was greater than demand.

It isn't though, so a moot point.

Fuck him he’s ginger and has a gravelly voice

Thanks, that is what I meant, sort of.

But it is not the overall demand per se, but the capacity within the NHS to inoculate millions of people.

Therefore why not sell some vials that are sat in a warehouse or freezer, so long as those doses are being replaced through the supply chain and doesn't have a knock on effect to the mass roll-out.

Are they not paying for the tests?

I’d have no objection as long as they didn’t just jump the already established NHS order of play. If they secured and paid for their own batch of vaccines, meh.

I expect anyone else, provided they have the money, could privately source and purchase their own.

I'm surprised that his argument is that it'd save the NHS money as they wouldn't have to test the players.

You'd have thought they'd foot the bill for testing.

My father is in a care home and I haven't been able to see him in the flesh since last March (he has Dimentia) but I used to take him to our local every weekend to watch the footy, highlite of his week, so if some millionaire footballer gets it before him I will be just a little livid, so it's a no from me to

I was under the impression they did. There’s no way NHS would be paying.

The whole principle is wrong.

But on a justification, which shouldn't need making, to be effective it'd have to be the players, coaches, support staff. All their family & those they meet.

But why are they more vital than medics & their support staff, their families etc.

Then the teachers (& ... ), the care homes, the logistics people delivering the stuff. Suppliers of food & medicines. Of electrical & gas supply. The groups that are needed to bring us back towards normal are many. Footballers are pretty low down it ... & the behaviour of more than a few of them don't help their cause.

Then by the same rules, any 80+ person being vaccinated also needs their family, anyone they come into contact with.
