Tranmere A

We owe these scruffy fuckers big time, keep Vaughan quiet and they're pretty toothless, Greenidge in for Delaney, Arthur in for new Lincoln lad, and we stand a good chance of 3 points.

1-2

  • The most important thing to remember when discussing this game is...   FUCK TRANMERE FUCK JOHN ALDRIDGE

  • In fairness, just like there's only a couple of you popping over to visit us, there's only a small handful on here who do actually give a shit about how you get on. Most of the time it's us tryin

Haha.

Funnily enough both managers failing to achieve. I think the fact that the current incumbent wants to play attacking football certainly gives him more leeway.

They’d probably cover a lot less distance if they stopped getting caught out of position tbf

Based on that logic Sarc must have run a marathon yesterday

The first goal came from that shit left back HE has signed not being in position; OK Delaney fucked up but it was made easy because of the left back

The penalty was just NEVER a penalty; cheating referee

Then we got a lifeline and their man should have had a straight red; cheating referee

We still had enough time to get back into it and then the Delaney second yellow which not even a foul; cheating referee.

So we were unlucky but it is getting worse week by week. HIS signings have been shit; two injury prone players who are already on the treatment table and two shocking players who haven't added anything to the squad.

Playing crawford yesterday rather than Thomason summed up IE; he hasn't got a fucking clue and the longer we continue with the clown the more pain we will suffer

I sat there yesterday and thought it was the worst we had looked all season

Im happy to hear from the 442 crowd how its got better recently

Early on in the season, we played some decent stuff, but had no keeper

It just felt hopeless yesterday

Then something got them going, maybe just a bit of confidence, maybe we are actually a fit team, and i reckon we wouldve won but for that iffy twat in black

As bad as we were we should have won, that leads me to think if we get couple in and we get most fit we are easily good enough to at least get play offs if season was starting today, that also suggests we should stick with Evatt, with a couple of more windows and further investment we should be looking at automatic promotion next season.

The first goal came from someone not picking up the second ball, it’s weak from Delaney but he’s running backward he’s trying to get anything on it. I think it was Tutte who was ball watching

Only seen the highlights on Quest so didn't see the play leading up to the ball through to their winger. He had oceans of space though and with a  442 formation and a half decent full back that would have been covered

Should’ve beat Cheltenham but we didn’t it’s all ifs and buts and plenty of talking

I admire your optimism Mounts but it's all ifs & buts & tbf many on here thought the same before a ball was kicked. For me most of this is down to the goalkeeper fiasco, it undermined everything from day one, should have been addressed much sooner & we've never recovered.

We aren't going up with a team that only works part time & believes a match only starts when you concede the 1st goal!

Decent analysis of the first goal, but I’d add Crawford losing the first header.

I don’t fully agree with the analysis, but for me it highlights a couple of new players unsure whether they are pressing that high (Jackson) or not (Elbouzedi)

My 1st thought before the ball got to Delaney was ‘where’s the fucks Jackson?’

Jackson appears to be closing a man further up. No issue there so long as there's cover.

Ebenezer neither here not there. He chooses to go when he can't get near the fella. Should be dropping off.

Crawford also nowhere near to anyone.

However, its easy to be critical looking at a brief clip. Dunno what had happened immediately before.

Ebenezer and Jackson should be sent back to their parent clubs; both are utter dogshit

Don't agree about Jackson. Didnt see yesterday, but was good on his debut, and better than what we already have.

Jackson will be left mid once John is fit.

No idea what Elbouzedi offers but he’s surely better than we’ve seen so far?

I know its all about opinion but I watched his debut and thought he was out of position far too much; whether he is on the left or right he should have better positional know how.

Hope you are wrong as they are both loan players.....I would like to see Thomason start lwb or left of midfield

Can Evatt not see he has already got the solution in his squad

We don't play with a left mid

Thats because we played with either Mascoll or Gordon who were both not league standard then a succsession of right footers.

Thomason is ideal to play anywhere down the left, he is not needed central

That mon couldn’t do a marathon in a sidecar.

I was referring to the suggestion either Jackson or Thomasson should play left midfield

So far, we've either played with wing-backs or a 4-3-3

Neither formation has a left midfield role

The team looks fit, I’d love to know the distance covered stat

I think we 3 at the back with two wingbacks  and a holding midfielder suits us, especially with Tutte fit.
That’s when we looked best and won 5 on the spin

It was 4, we cant count our reserves v another club's kids.  And 3 of the games were against the bottom 3 of the time.  Its a myth that we suddenly improved for 4 games, and that's not to say the team didn't do what was needed on the day, no complaints there.  But If we played Grimsby, Barrow and Scunthorpe next instead of 3 top half or in form teams I'd expect us to get a good number of points because even our worst team is capable of competing with that standard.

Ever heard of only beating the team in front of you?

Not sure Evatt has more concerningly

For me, this is going to be a test of nerve till maybe end of Feb, by when, hopefully, Evatt has got in the two of three more he wants, they've bedded in and are making a difference, along with Lee and John.

We need to set up solid during Feb and grind out four or five results, ideally including clean sheets, so we go into March stabilised a bit and with a bit of confidence from getting those results. We could still have a decent finish to the season then.

In the meantime it could get twitchy as we don't look much like getting a result against anybody.

To be honest, I'd sacrifice a couple of players in the squad at minute to bolster the coaching ranks, preferably with some nouse and experience. Appreciate it might be about different budgets and it might not be straightforward, but just now we need coaching support and expertise more than squad fillers who are nowhere near playing.
