When was the last time we won 3 in a week?

How many days in a week?

One time in the first half, near cat piss corner their winger bounced off Santos like he was a bloon. Second half, in the opposite corner same two collided and Santos went down like he'd been tasered.

He's getting used to the officials inconsistencies too.

Excellent win today, long trip away from home against a team also buoyed by a couple of good results.

Was it our best? No.
Was it pretty? No.

The old adage of "don't concede, you don't lose" rings true. The creativity was in short supply, but defending is as much an art form as attacking and we were pretty solid at the back again.

Fair play to Evatt for not settling for a point, making positive substitutions.
As for flukes, they say things even themselves out during a season. We've been pretty unlucky up until recently, so all's good there.

Finally, Williams was very good today. Thought  he did well midweek but this was his best so far.
Maddison? Not for me, I wouldn't be too arsed if he went back.

Just approaching Stoke Station on route home from a victorious performance at Sarthend, the AHM are pissed off Fosters and cheap red in coach D, Meldrew has given up containing 'H' who has started being abusive to the Citeh fans in coach C and has also upset an elderly couple with his filthy mouth, the main men, Radcliffe, Penfold, myself and the Colonel also in coach D are merrily discussing which club is the biggest out of Villa & Leeds whilst supping the last cans of Moretti, Stella and Sherry.

#AwayDays 👌

would you all still be wearing leather gloves, and drinking baileys?

Good post but I’m giving Maddison benefit of the doubt, think there’s a player in there somewhere.

Do you not think we're riding our luck with no keeper on the bench ? I hope IE is not relying on Santos and Baptiste to repel all boarders forever.

I think there's a player in there, but we've not time to wait until it comes out and he's not improving the team.

Very much so, but up to now we're getting away with it.

I may be talking shite here but Williams reminds me of Steve McManaman when he first came onto the scene, same physically and attitude wise, almost an arrogant strut about him, could turn out to be a very good player

I'm struggling to think of a player that reminds me less of McManaman!  I cant think of one thing they have in common..

That's fine though, McM is one of the most overrated players, never rated him at the top level although he did give Greeny the runaround at Wembley.

I think we must have a good outfield player capable of being keeper of needs be otherwise its a massive risk week in week out.

I imagine Evatt think we gain a bigger advantage over the course of a season by having an extra outfield option on the bench. I can see the logic in that.

It's a bigger risk though given the age of our current goalkeeper. If he does it in the play-offs however (should we ever get there) I'll be pissed off.

I'm giving Maddison the benefit of the doubt too at the moment.

He seems confident enough, he steps up for free kicks, he'd a decent chance today that didn't trouble the keeper, and he's willing to get stuck in. I think his fitness is the main problem. I've said it before on here, he needs minutes on the field.

And a rock solid chance.

Sarc ain't pretty but without him, we don't score

You’re right. His positioning for the second ball, his class on the ball. He’s an awkward fucker to pick up

Maddison will need 4/5 games to get into it, don’t forget there’s no reserve league for match fitness like years gone
