Absolutely.

He couldn't say owt else.

Fwiw, I think his time in the role is coming to an end.

Can only be a good thing- provided a decent replacement is found.

Would be all good and well if a doddering old man who is clearly too old and not fit for office wasn't saying the first bits.

Trump doesn't need any help saying ridiculous things, the guys a maniac.

If they had a proper man in to take Trump to task on stuff it wouldn't be so bad.

As it stands it's an open goal for Trump.

If I was American there's not a chance in hell I'd vote for an 81 year old bloke who wouldn't look out of place wandering about a garden centre looking for the fish counter.

I absolutely agree Biden needs to step aside, but I'd still vote for him if Trump was the alternative.

Yeah me too.

I'd rather someone senile with a decent team of advisors than DT.

If the yank president was ceremonial the same as the Irish, a lovely old fella who meets foreign dignitaries and does opening ceremonies for leisure centres, then Biden would be perfect.

As the leader of the most powerful nation in the west it needs more nouse than Biden has.

Still a wayyyy better option than Trump though.

I do smile at the anti Trumpers.

I have many American friends (some coming here to Spain very soon). Mostly bible belters I will concede but none of them bible thumpers. All refer to voting using the hip pocket nerve in their support of Trump.

Through all the madness, stunts and showmanship, do not discount the power of this hip pocket nerve. They all firmly believe that they will be personally better off under Trump.

Tyldesley will be along in a minute to tell us why wearing a red star beret will be so much better.

I can understand that, but economically things are doing very well in the US at the moment aren't they?

Let's be honest, those from the bible belt love big guns and big trucks so they trust Trump more to keep things as they are.

Depends whether he listens to the advisers.

He shouldn't be making all these gaffes, and they don't seem to be able to stop him.

You could make the same argument for Trump I suppose, but I doubt very much he'd listen to his neither.

A quality replacement ought to be able to compete, even out-perform Trump as he tends towards aggression, through a lack of intellect, when properly challenged.

Probably a lot of truth in that. Still, a lot of water to flow under the bridge yet. Wondering if the right side of US politics can expect a boost from those being genuinely worried about migration north as is happening all over Europe. Or can Trump play a Starmer and just sit back and watch the Democrats implode over Bidens increasing incapacitation and hope for the vote against senility going in his favour.

Then sit back and think of a bastards alliance between Russia, China, Iran and North Korea and we really do have a lot to look forward to don't we?

If one of those cunts launch one, I really do hope it hits me squarely on the top of my fucking melon.

You could but I don't think he has lost much of his sharpness. The man is nuts in many ways but I look forward to an entertaining time. If the axis of evil starts to get threatening, I suspect they would be a lot more reticent about trying anything on with The Don leading the free world. For a start there would be a greater than 50% chance he would actually be awake when they did try.

Trump would do whatever Putin asks him to do, like keep his nose out of Europe and concentrate on MAGA, which is probably his plan anyway

Don't think for one second Putin and the rest would fear Trump

My opinion is very different. That is utter bullshit for a start.

I think for a lot more than one second that what a madman fears most of all is an even bigger madman.

We know which of the madmen has the bigger guns, that is for sure and certain.

Yep, I have Putin down as the bigger madman

Which is why trump publicly backed Putin rather than the FBI

He'd rather be his ally than his enemy

No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant

We have different opinions. As Sir Nigel has said - "It is allowed you know".

I don't understand what gives you that idea though? He went over to Moscow and Beijing and tongue tickled the nuts of Putin and Xi.

You haven't completed many big business deals have you? I've done plenty and am in the final throes of completing another one at present.

The smart ones know how to play the game. Friends close, enemies even closer and all that. This is what gives me 'that idea'.

"Tongue tickled the nuts". FFS, Spider disease is spreading.

Fair enough, I just don't think Trump is anywhere near as clever as you think he is.

With China sabre rattling, Iran using proxies all over, Russia being its usual belligerent self, no way is any American president cutting off Europe/NATO- they could be facing a very difficult time.

As much of a cock Trump is, he got the rest of the countries to up their spend, and one thing he does do is wheel and deal.

Whether that would be enough we don't know, and hopefully won't have to find out.
