My mate had £25 at 12/1 on a 5:0 whitewash for Australia, I reckon he's pretty happy with that start......

I thought we'd get thumped, but I was expecting a bit more than we've offered thus far......although they still have to bat yet, so who knows....although I might have a few quid on them getting 500+ 😉

Shite batting again. But will reserve full judgement until they've batted. Pitch shouldn't be that much different for them.

Never even heard of like half the team. That's the problem cricket faces, other than us being shit.

Notwithstanding all of the above, reasoned, comments, the ECB needs to put test cricket where it belongs, as top priority.

Can’t see anything but a defeat, but getting batting time and putting miles into the bowlers. Bat as long as possible.

Burns failed again.

Think we've bowled reasonably well. At 340 or so for 7, that's a decent effort. OK Head's gone on and pushed the score, but considering the lack of cricket they did OK.

Looks like the pitch has got a bit easier to bat on, which will lead to questions about batting first, but for now, credit where its due.

A solid start tonight, and maybe some buttler/stokes bashing and who knows.

Get through the first session, inc new ball, unscathed and then we’ll see.

 

Doubt I’ll see much of Saturday’s play

 First 2 nights I watched the morning session before bed, crap. 

Today, got up early instead, great cricket.

Not sure what to do tonight. Just opened a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from NSW. That will be the decider.

Happy that the overrated Yorkshireman with more Test runs in a calendar year than any other England player in history is still there. 

Think I’ve convinced myself. Going to bed soon and alarm set for 11.30.

Unfortunately he's very injury prone and needs managing. Maybe they are being careful with him.

Maybe it's horses for courses, though I'm not sure Broad is the man anymore.
