Last season aye But since they signed mbappe they've had KM, vini and rodygro up top and JB gone back to the deeper midfield position he played at Dortmund and Brum I think anyway But same issue regardless that we had at the euros If you want to play JB more advanced you can't pay PF wide And there's no reason you can't play JB deep to play PF central Just don't try to accommodate then both in advanced roles as there isn't space to get the best out of both

I see the bedwetting failure has decided to become involved in the violent young boys issue. Won't be long before he's appointed the FA's Director of Diversity and Inclusion. Twat. TT is all about the football (we gammons hope) which is all we wanted. Whether he ever sings our national anthem concerns me less than Liverpools quadruple.

And fucking wingers/wide forwards on their piss shagging correct sides. Balls to cutting in. Get at the full back beat the fucker. We all know where this is going don't we Jack?

Hopefully, this chap is more of a Schumacher. I got a different three words for the penalty bottler. Wet, woke and wanker.

They moved him further forward to play in behind Mbappe and it started clicking. Agreed he could play any of a 10,8 or 6. I think he's a better no 10 than Foden. Especially when we have Rice plentiful deeper mids.
March 23, 20251 yr Foden while not playing brill at the mo, would walk into virtually every other national team.
March 23, 20251 yr Foden has the same issues now Scholes had a few years back. Being played in a position he doesn’t want in order to get him in. he plays a similar position for city an awful lot of the time. The issue being moving forward is Tuchel wants his wide men to give width and get at defenders. A job that Saka does brilliantly. Whereas at city Foden is almost directed to come inside and play in tight areas so the full backs get get round and in behind. He’ll no doubt be shunted over to the left when Saka is fit and the whole cycle starts again FWIW I do believe there’s room for both him and Jude in midfield. Foden as the 10, Jude as an 8 with freedom to get up and down. The concern with that is, would Foden influence games as much as Jude does? I don’t think he does. So you end up worse off than when you started Edited March 23, 20251 yr by barrycowdrill
March 23, 20251 yr Neither of them were notable for their performances. Some good passes (especially for the first goal), good movement at times, but just too slow as a team. Boring.
March 23, 20251 yr Think Jude sees himself as the talisman. Has to get involved in everything and try and make stuff happen. but rather than him be involved in all that and do a few nice things it’s maybe about others stepping up so he’s involved less but more effective

I felt he was as guilty as the rest in terms of possession with little effect. Sometimes moving off the ball, like he did once early in the game, is far more effective. Anyway, I'll watch them again no doubt. Hopefully more entertaining.
March 24, 20251 yr Listening to Tuchels latest press conference this morning. Very impressive talker. Football and football only. There is always a chance that the FA, UEFA or FIFA virtue signallers will have him on some random 'diversity and inclusion' campaign or other but I hope not. Just let him concentrate on what he is very good at. To quote the erudite Gonzo - 'win us the World Cup this mon'.

Only the holy grail of a BWFC FA cup win would be left on my Football bucket list.
March 24, 20251 yr All this "low block" talk gets on my tits more than it should They're just defensive. They have to make everything sound more technical and complicated than they are. Nobs

Don't even start with 'false fckg 10's' and playing in the channels.

March 24, 20251 yr It'll help if our fullbacks were overlapping and helping our wingers rather than drifting in a congested central midfield

March 24, 20251 yr I rarely watch prem or england qualifiers, but should foden not play ahead of lewis-skelly if you want a centre mid against wannabe farmers
