That's right Micky. I'd be more worried that it's gone from 10M to 39M in a couple of years.

You'd have to hope he did an Eddie and write off the debt, but that would also need the club to be set up to be sustainable afterwards. Something that we weren't. 

Found this it says Bristol city have lost over 170 million in the last few years . It says works out at £412,000 a week every week over the last 10 years

top clubs will get fatter and richer playing in their own wee bubble with fans more interested in videoing the game on their phones. Whilst proper clubs with hardcore support like brizzle go to the wall. Sad times but the writing is on the wall

It will still have high losses even if debt was written off which would be a big if.

It seems odd to like this post but it’s spot on. To think that wasn’t enough for the big 6 that they wanted a super league as well really winds me up.

Yep. It’s shocking that it’s been allowed to happen. Should just let the so called big clubs fuck off. Go and play Madrid away on a Saturday or whatever they want and leave the rest of us to it. 

Bristol are another of those clubs with huge potential, being a big city with little real competition for fans, that never seems to have been able to capitalise on it. They should easily be sustainable without pumping in silly money but for some reason just haven’t.

Looking back now, I’m gutted the ‘big 6’ didn’t fuck off out of it when they had the chance. The football league would be a better place without them and their hangers on.

Would of been good for everyone. Their fans would of dropped off in droves to come back to local clubs due to boredom. Then the gimpys that crave elite level fixtures every 2 minutes can crack on.

£412k x 52 x 10 = £214m

But their losses have increased by £61m in just 4 years = £293k per week, which is shocking.

It’s not really a proper football city in my opinion. Their all time average attendance 13k compared to ours at 17k.

I agree with you, you can't put feeings into people.The people of a city either love football or they don't.Bristol don't have a ground the size of Sunderland's because the city doesn't need it

To be fair you've got to consider that it is a two club football city, while it's easy to underestimate just how big an effect rugby union has in that particular part of the world.

Didn’t add up to me but got it of this -

As a result of above the EBIT (day to day) losses for Bristol City increased from £35m to £44m. Bristol City have lost £412,000 a week every week for the last ten years from day to day trading.

The owner of city also owns the rugby club . Sounds like he runs that one a bit better they keep within the salary cap
