December 30, 20214 yr I note that IE is saying that we are nowhere near ready to play physically which I accept. However with the exception of a battering & goal difference we cannot possibly do any worse than we have in our previous 6 away games - zero points and zero goals.

Home players at the ground away at the hotel (or their own ground if it's close by). Reading the article in the BN, it's actually quite concerning. Someone, somewhere could get badly hurt by this. Being forced into playing whilst suffering from post viral symptoms is a dangerous way to go. Fairly sure a few years ago a rugby player died after coming back too soon after flu or something. Body just couldn't cope. As it happens, I hope Evatt doesn't play anyone still suffering, although he says he'll have to. Rather him play kids as necessary. Likely to be no worse than a team full of panting half-fits. The perverse thing about this, is the chance one of our lot causes a big outbreak in the Rotherham camp, when they've currently got none! Not sure they'll be impressed by that.

December 31, 20214 yr Author Went this morning to collect some tickets few people tipped up & turned away as not ordered over the phone i know these are away sales so probably not arsed but if this needs looking at no staffing issues as plenty about why can’t a member just tip up?

The comms from the club were poor for this game too and only re-communicated via the website yesterday, when all-ticket game was mentioned, hence no POTD. So a lot of people who have held off buying due to the potential postponement have less than 48 hours to sort tickets out and then nobody answers the bloody phone. But I totally agree that the whole thing is a shambles.
December 31, 20214 yr So you can’t buy a ticket in person, but you can buy it over the phone - speaking to someone in the very place where you’re stood - and then collect it from the same place? That’s just pure fucking barmy (and hugely unnecessary), isn’t it?! Will be a similar charade for me on Tuesday for Hartlepool tickets, so I suppose I might as well ring up before I leave home.
