I despised Iron Maiden when I had longhair and my peers not in the scene presumed I was a fan - when I was the biggest snob going I'd listen to demos anything else was virtually glam metal - we used to ring Digby at Earache and berate him for signing such and such or a crap cover... He got a lot of verbal abuse for Massacre - From Beyond (the cover not the music) he'd just bat us off with a dude-like "that's just like your opinion"

I fckin love them even though I’ve always felt Bruce was never the right fit.
