Recruit a CB, LB , DM

Tie Santos down

Re-sign Fossey, Trafford

Wish Amaechi all the best

Let go Gilks, Baptiste,

If someone has the reddies for Dapo let’s listen

No big overhaul needed which is a credit to IE and the board, just need to polish a few edges.

Two new central defenders plus a new deal for Santos

One new reserve left back

One new reserve right back

A new holding midfielder

Re-sign Fossey and Trafford

Release Gilks, Baptiste, Gordon, Tutte and folk like Delf who are out on loan

Try to get transfers elsewhere for Aimson and maybe even MJ (even though under contract) given we know we are moving on from their standard League 1 levels.

Get some good loan slots for youngsters like Darcy and Senior

Don't think Gilks will be going anywhere. He's already gone back to his original role as GK coach hasn't he?

Wasn’t sure. Just meant as a player

Depends what the plan is.

Do we try to build a short term team to get us up, or have a longer term plan of building to compete/survive in the championship.

why?

do we need money?

Just sign a proper cunt in central midfield. Helpful if can play a bit. Karl Henry type.

Would like to see an experienced head next to Santos.

No idea. I’ve no doubt there are clubs out there who would be eyeing him up. If they are more attractive to him than us because of wages or higher league then are we going to stand in his way.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t want to see him go I like him a lot but i would have been more confident of him still being here if we had gone up this season.

I'd like to do things properly, signing younger players who will improve and be championship ready when we do get there - Dapo's and Morley's of this world. A couple of experienced older heads but not too many at all

New contracts - Santos, Dapo, Jones, Evatt

Definitely Release - Tutte, Baptiste, Gordon, Delfouneso

Possibly release/Loan Out - Darcy, Edwards(?), Senior, Thomason

Re-sign - Fossey, Trafford

Strengthen - CB, RB, LB, GK

Academy - sort out B team, clear out the kids who are nowhere near 1st team level

There's going to be a lot of expectation next season. No one really knew what to expect this season. Pre-season there was a range of expectation from just staying up to getting playoffs or even autos.

After the January window we've had and our optimistic playoff push this year, that will have laid the foundations for next years expectation. Hopefully we get off to a flyer to give us some confidence and keep the fans vocal and positive.

Squad for next season - assuming we stick primarily with 3-5-2:

GK: Trafford, Dixon, New GK to replace Gilks unless Hutchinson/Alexander can do it.

CB: Santos, Jones, Johnston, Aimson, New CB

WB: Fossey, John, Isgrove, (Jones)*, (Sadlier)*, New RB, New LB

MID: Morley, Lee, Dempsey, MJ, Sheehan, Sadlier (Johnston)*

FWD: Dapo, Charles, Bakayoko, Bodvarsson, Kachunga

(Second Position)*

"Powder Puff". I fckg despair.

Don't get this lets re-sign Trafford, yes he's young and got potential, but there's always a mistake or two in him. what we need if we want to push on is an experienced keeper.

There’s a mistake or two in any keeper. IE wants that keeper who starts the move with his distribution. Straight away that becomes harder to find. If we can get him on loan I’d rather use the resources going elsewhere . A CB & DM firstly

couple of new CB's

backup for jones (inuries)

get rid of neil

I just don't know if he's good enough or not, does any fan?  Not so much that he has a mistake in him, as Rudy says all keepers do, but I just don't see the saves to build up evidence that he's yet at the level we'd want.  Good shots tend to go in, and he saves the routine one's, like all keepers.  I'd like to see some evidence that he can make really good saves before we commit another season to him but if the opposition hardly shoot on target we're never going to find out.

In:

GK, 2x CB’s, RWB, LWB, CM, ST.

Out:

Gordon, Baptiste, Tutte, Delf.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Aimson and Kachunga leave. I reckon one of Dapo or Santos will be leaving if investment isn’t found to fund the promotion charge.

Most of us think along the same lines but the extent of the dealings required differs. Squad size rules mean that those of us advocating six or seven new players would need Evatt to shift out one or two currently under contract players to make the space.

I'd shift on Aimson. In some ways it's harsh on the lad. He's an honest pro who is comfortably League 1 standard but  no better. To get where we want to be we need better. I have to say the same about MJ Williams.

My opinion is that those of us advocating two rather than one new cbs and wanting six/seven new players in total are looking at a bit more than just evolution - as in we are trying to turn us in to top two contenders in one window. Quite a task in a league with a long queue of pretty big clubs searching for that promotion escape route. Those advocating around four new signings would merely improve us in to play off material. Progress but slower... not necessarily enough to overhaul/overtake all of whoever stays down out of MK, Wigan, Sunderland, Sheff Weds, Ipswich, Pompey, Oxford and a few others. Not to mention Peterborough, Derby, Barnsley or Reading.

I’d loan kachunga out personally

BWFC have played 13 games since Feb 1st gaining 24 points, Wiggun's last 13 games is 25 points. So you're right, for once..... Not much in it.

Top of the shot is MK with 33 points. BWFC are 6th best.
