Ok, there are many sports that I don't wtach a lot of but I can kind of get the enjoyment - even Rugby Union - but golf, looks boring to watch, looks boring to play. When you are watching someone tee off do you when walk with them to the next shot?

I got a hole in one at Great Lever and Farnworth GC when I was 15 years old. The par 3 down the hill from Plodder Lane.

An hour later, on the 18th hole that is directly next to a sprawling, godforsaken council estate, a bloke threatened to rip my head off and shit down my neck because I called his little brat a cunt for stealing my golf ball. Father and son both resembled fighting dogs and reeked of poverty and anger.

A mixed day, that.

Was it not a young Youri and his Father

Bill Burr's description of golf on his recent podcast was funny :D

He also said every sporting stadium should have a stand that's a designated red light district for wrong uns. I doubt Neil Hart would approve.

Happy days. I've still got that ball.

Surprised , but not surprised. The guy just has that stardust.

If his body holds up, he could finish top ten

Tiger seems a lot happier these days, no pressure on him anymore, must be a massive weight off his mind.

Playing for enjoyment

Anyway, I've only ever played golf once and I got a hole in one.  Never saw any point in playing it again.

Couldn’t help think of this clip. I could almost hear it being spoken in the same tone 😂

Play for 3 hours a day, 4 days a week, and within 2~3 years, you would be good enough to qualify for a Major, put a couple more hours a day in, and you'd be easily good enough for Ryder Cup selection within 5 years. It actually requires less skill than Darts in reality, at least with Darts you need to still have half reasonable eyesight, for golf, you don't even need that, which is why loads of old duffers play it.

Anybody who has enough time to play a round of golf, is generally either retired, or unemployed

The shitter darts than the shit darts is playing out on eurosport this week

Have you got a bye to the last 4 by virtue of winning a goldfish at radcliffe fair in 92?

Unbelievable round - great viewing.

His interview just now demonstrated the meticulous and dedicated  preparation taken by him and his team. “I just told them to get me to the first tee, then I’ll take over from there”

As you say if his body holds up you just never know.

Cameron Smith looks like he's just been carted off a nearby trailer park.

We used to pelt teen golfers with stones and jeer at them as they mooched up Glenside Drive with their gay trollies - especially Brooklyn landlord Davy's two spoilt bastard grandsons, although I have seen them at the match, not lately though.

So you've always had it in you to give grief to those better off than yourself...

Interesting...

No, we just liked bullying our physical and intellectual lessers. Der Untermënsch.

I'd rather have no mortgage in BL3 and BL1 than run away to a former tip because I don't like brown people (Horwich Inbreds, not me).

Horwich's 'finest'.

Only the best live in Horwich; the best shoeless racists, the best girlfriend scalders, the best incest practitioners, the best two bob dealers...

As an aside why do criminals always sport grey jumpers - who started the trend?

Most folk either pick a spot and stay there all day or "follow" a group / a few group of their favourites around.

I'm on JT, Berger, Smith and Fitzpatrick. Mixed bag so far.

I can watch golf all day long, but could never take to Snooker, F1 etc. I find it relaxing and even my missus doesn't mind watching it
