  • Rolled in at 4:30am. Lost 6 solid hours in the york with Mr H, Widness and Danny G. Went for train and station was closed. Not surprising as it was 2am. £80 taxi home. Bad books.

If that puts you on the A11/M11 be prepared to dive off ... & head through Bury St. Edmunds or similar. Those roads can snarl up horribly. Especially on a school holiday Saturday, even more so as the Unions are intent on a national strike.

If free running then off at Stortford, East toward Stanstead, Colchester, Ipswich is a good drive.

Roads will be a nightmare tomorrow

Vale away thread, not Ipswich. Cambridgeshire would actually have made some sense for tomorrow! 🤣

Bugger 😂😂😂

Well, go the scenic route. There's nowt in Burslem to rush for.

Anyone know when tickets on sale

Dunno but they're cutting in fine.

Makes you wonder if the police say leave late so it reduces our numbers

Theres a postal strike imminent too...

I know there's a lot of online sales, but ticket office is going to be busy for about 2 and a half weeks once Vale goes on sale.  Shifting 4k-ish of them, plus Wycombe, Salford, Morecambe and Sheff Wed at home in such a short period, hope none of them have gone on hols!

First batch printed had league 2 on them.

Hopefully will be on sale before Friday

Anybody  know how many tickets we are getting for this ?

Would appear the fixture has fallen kindly in one respect

They are having a lot of Health & Safety issues at Vale Park and are planning on permanently relocating visiting fans to the smaller end opposite later in the season

For now though 2 of their stands are open with reduced capacities - suggesting home crowd is likely to be only 8k-9k ?

Reading a few articles online it seems a little sketchy as we’re the first club to visit with big numbers, with the reduction 4k is being mentioned

Would we take 4k though??

Doubt it myself - the promotion season I think we only sold out a couple of days before the game ??

Don't think wed far short tbh.

Possible fuckin train strikes still.

Won’t be far off

plus no localish cheap to get too games for a while

Don’t think we would shift 4,000 tbh. Would expect north of 2,500 though, even with train strikes given how many made it to Ipswich

I agree.  Fixture stands out for being not only "local" but a big away end, if its not changed.  I tend to get tickets at my own pace and not the minute they go on sale so I'm unlikely to make any of the local tiny grounds, this is the main local game for me followed by the Yorkshire one's.

I’ve been asked by a few folk already for my client reference's as I’ll not be able to make it.

I personally think the lateness of the ticket announcement is down to police & port vale

i remember reading an article that the policing bill last time we played them was sky high, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a delaying tactic to put us off and they may cut our allocation using the grounds capacity reduction as a reason
