That said, do you know if he has tried to rent privately, and if so, are people reluctant to do so?

I gather he evicted some British tenants as serco offered more money.

is the first to object to the takeover we are suffering at the hands of the boat folk, but will house them for a few shekels more.

it is IMO a more accurate description but it is noticeable that various serial posters on Twitter have adopted the new phrase en masse recently.
