My Uncle is a really successful butcher/meat wholesaler. 

His best customers tend to be Indian, Pakistani and West Indian restaurants as he tells me most of them won't take the risk of buying from an Asian butcher. 

Something I was really surprised by - but he's made an absolute killing from it. Literally if you're a cow 😁

Friend of ours who rears goats is very circumspect over any she sells.

It's not just the slaughter method (which is controversial in its own right), but more the origin of the animal, and location of slaughter.

If you could be bothered, you'll find references to both over the years, particularly from me.

There aren't however, stories about kosher slaughtering occurring out of the abbatoir, as far as I have heard.

In fairness, there are advantages as well as disadvantages, for later in life.

Just preferable to do it purely for medical reasons and not wholesale religious ones.
