27th is the touted date

If so that's a poor do. It certainly put TV above fans. We know this is the case but that'd be over and above.

Better for transport….

hopefully

This is what I’m thinking

Would it be cheaper to police, too?

That would probably depend on what time it kicked off at - the 27th is a bank holiday as Christmas Day is on the Sunday

Overall, does it matter that much; majority of folk still on holiday

Ah, yes, so it is.

Did we not play Blackburn on the 27th a few seasons ago? Or was it the 28th?

I bet IE would have something to say if we only have 48 hours before playing at Lincoln, who'll have an extra day to rest/prepare.

Seems a long time since we played at home on Boxing Day.

Now 3pm on the 27th

Police will love a friday nighter in Lincoln

Absolute bollocks.

I wont be at any.

I get why people will be pissed off.

I’m quite happy with them, especially the Barnsley one, going to Rotherham last year and going back even further, to Preston with a steaming New Years Eve hangover was horrible.

Boxing Day and New Years Day can be proper chilled out days now. And its a couple more Xmas holiday days to look forward too

Mad decision

Watch them only release about 500 tickets now as a result

It's 2 days that I wasn't planning to have to spend with the family.

Fuming.

I'll whisper it but physically getting to football on boxing day and NYD is a right ballache. Fantastic day for armchair supporters like.

Agreed.

I'd rather play on Boxing Day, but playing New Years Day never seems right, its a day for recovery.  We can look forward to a game the day after now, what else would we do on 2nd Jan?  I think we'll take more to Barnsley now, all other things being equal.  Plenty other games to watch on TV on Boxing Day and NY Day.

Crowd v Derby no longer looking like a potential 25k though. 20k max now I'd say.

Correction not max 20k v Derby, I mean around 20k.  If they fill away end its going to be 21k-ish.

Derby at ours and Forest at DMBs on same day ....GMP will love that.

Nice planning.

Forest game kicks off at 8pm, could have been worse I suppose.

For me, 27th is doing a world of good.

I am down south over Christmas so boxing day wouldn't have been a possibility.

I see that some people might no long be able to attend, but surely still a huge crowd to expect, 24,000+ ?

We had 22,000 for a regular game vs Sheff weds

Boxing Day usually gets me out of family events😀

Perhaps, but remember when cup games come around, we might have extra games that others don't have at all.

Don't suppose the club will mind the money neither.
