Burndens Bogs Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Nice tidy player is Dempsey and he has a bit of bite in his game. Shame his legs are made of Quavers. Quote
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted December 20, 2022 Site Supporter Posted December 20, 2022 Not sure he's as knackered as it may seem. Came with an injury last season but got himself right for this. Started the season well. Several players have had injuries so far- it's par for the course- and Dempsey's game is more combative, which perhaps exposes him to more impact injuries. Wasn't this latest one as a result of a hospital pass to him by MJ too? Quote

Mantra Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 Record against the top 8. W 2 (wycombe, pbro) D 2 (Ipswich, Barnsley) L2 (Sheffield Plymouth) Think we were pretty unfortunate to lose to Sheffield and Plymouth, deserved at least a point in both. But by the same token, we could've easily lost the Ipswich game and Pbro only scraped a win. Glad we got the pre-Xmas win vs Exeter but they asked us fuck all, expect Derby will be more of a test. Site Supporter Steejay Posted December 20, 2022 Site Supporter Posted December 20, 2022 Winning this will persuade a few more folks to travel to Barnsley and Lincoln. Quote

But less than 18k home fans is about 1,500 less than v Exeter, and there was no atmosphere in the home end. Numbers doesn't equal atmosphere, loads of factors impact, the ideal is going a goal down and coming back to win. Or just winning 6-0. Quote

Exactly Bogs, no way were there anything like the quoted near 20k against Exeter, more like the 14k you reckon. Derby will be completely different. Quote

They're too far away most games, been so much quieter this season in CC. Quote

Farnywhite Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I would have expected more on to be honest don’t we have around 17k season ticket holders ? If so that means we have only sold less than 1,000 tickets on general sale if approaching 23k sold Quote
