If I hadn't met you Traf, I would be half thinking that you were the knob sat behind us - as they were his exact words! As Desperado has mentioned, our group of 11 is splitting up on Saturday - he is taking his young(er) family into the family stand and the those of us with older kids (7 years +) are going as normal to our seats in the ESU. Observations will be made to see if the knob is there again or if it was a United game part-timer!

That's the plan but I'll have to leave that to others in our group as I'm at a bloody wedding! What will not have gone away though, is the grumpy old man who started all this by having a right rant-and-rave about our kids not sitting perfectly still for the full game! He will still be there spouting his negative thoughts every 2 minutes and thus, even if the thug from Saturday has disappeared - his place will soon be taken by another numb-skull.

I thought you were still using yours and mine to transfer them to the North Upper? If you are not using it, then I might see if our eldest wants to take one of his mates.

That could depend on whom I take in your place for the Portsmouth game!! Seriously though mate, your youngest is younger than ours and so you have longer to get him through to the age when they sit happily watching most / all of the game. That will be the major factor in the decision for next season and where to sit. As mentioned by MickyD I think, this is the problem with all-seater grounds - the kids can't just mess about at the front of the Paddock with a plastic bottle when they get bored. Many fans will tolerate this but those who want to sit just like they would at the theatre or cinema, will not and it now would appear that we have a few sat behind us. Hopefully, it is down to the emotions of playing United at home and all will have died down next week. Are all of you moving for the Villa game or jsut your direct family?

Best game for us on Saturday Wilshere, threads a great pass. Taylor has struggled all season, I can't remember if he had an injury hit summer but looks short of a good pre-season to get himself match fit. I won't be sad to see him go but for "just" ?2M I would be tempted to keep him - every player has his price and ?2M isn't enough.

Bring him to sit near mine and Desperado's block of seats in the ESU - the more kids to wind-up the old fart and the knob-head lad the better!

I'm not arsed, i;ve sat in enough home ends as an away fan to take the rough with the smooth. This thread was to point out how easy it is for supporters of away teams to get tickets for the home end of our ground, as a few on other threads on WW seemed shocked and surprised that we "allow" it to happen.

The official one is that United fans don't sit down, so Bolton can't have them stood up in the upper section... ...but we will allow half of the corporate lot who have paid ?200 each to stand up Its all about money - we make more out of reserving the upper stand for 200 coporates than allowing United to have whole lot

Two out of Hull, Burnley and West Ham will have to finish above us for Bolton to be relegated. It ain't going to happen mate.

As fate has it Mickey, the idiot will think he's initially come out on top. I'm at a Wedding next Saturday so my Mum (who is one of the grandparents who sits in our group) is only taking our eldest lad - who at 7 sits watching the whole game no prob. Desperado was / is planning on taking his youngest and his Mrs but she is not overly keen now in sitting in a possibly intimidating area - so they might shift to NSU. The following game against Portsmouth, Desperado and his 3 generations are sat elsewhere - so once again all of us won't be there BUT I'm hoping to give the spares to one of my mates and his kids. I've got the line ready for the knob who asked us out, "just staring at you, so I remember your face when I'm out and about with my mates rather than being at the game with my children"

Spot on Macca, that's what I'm telling our group - fight fire with fire, carry on like normal and show these idiots that they just that.

Not sure of the answer but the ticket office needs to rethink the current "open sales" policy. The rule of "you must be on the database" is now being well and truely abused. Supporters from opposition teams are getting on the database by buying tickets for games against the likes of Fulham and Portsmouth when we are so desperate to sell tickets that no or little checks on new buyers are made. These people probably won't even attend the game. They are then on the database so when their team comes to town and they have no chance of getting a ticket in the away end, they are then on our "database" and can purchase a ticket in the home end. Not sure of the solution.

This thread makes me feel a whole lot better over our issues with the kids in the ESU. Emotions were very high in the second half at a most unfair score line.

Never heard "runway" at all. A good 20 minutes of "Super white army" in the second half seemed by far the loudest

I'm the "mate" involved in the family group off 11 and just to add Mounts - we've all got season tickets, so I understand your points but not sure if we can / should be moving to the North Stand for certain games. Thinking back now, the morning after, its the knob 2 rows back that offered me and Despardo "outside" who I am concerned with. I tried to calm the situation with the grumpy old man after the game, and think he understands now to just tap me on the shoulder when the kids are getting to active from now on rather than letting it build up before a rant starts. I do think it was emotions high last night with such an unfair score line. As I said though, the lad who offered us "outside" is so typical of some of today's uneducated youth. If their point of view is argued against, they don't have the mental ability to continue the discussion and can only revert to threats of violence. I'm hoping that he was tanked up from an afternoon of drinking and will return to his quiet self next Saturday. With me being at a wedding, my mum was going to take her two grandsons but after last night I think we'll play it safe and our youngest wil stay with his other grandparents. Does that mean the knobs behind us have won...let them think so - but it will be for one game only!!
