  1. 3 out of 3 landed
  2. Holywell's a good 10lb in on hurdles form and while his jumping is suspect at a track with stiff fences, I'll play at evens for modest stakes
  3. 2 out of 2 landed
  4. Potentially 4 massive gambles today First Eye of the Tiger 6/1 into Eve, bolted up (ex Curley)
  5. zurichwhite replied to Casino's topic in Terrace Talk
Why the fuck did we grant contracts to players with no relegation clauses in? Surely it's standard stuff nowadays
  6. Wheater new deal of around 20k pw has to be complete bollocks surely
  7. The pitch invasion was a Freight Rover jobbie, 1-0 to us, think TC got the goal
  8. What's with the 300 Richie Benauds!
  9. Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman was smoking, Bbc1 now
  10. There are several, myself included, who think he's overcomplicates things, chops and changes too much, possibly alienates players and overall makes baffling and contradictory decisions. What was your view during his time there?
  11. I see Eddie is now charging zero interest on the 151m debt
  12. Circa 1990 when ST had hair i believe
  13. It was usually one of my mates who's soft as shite but he subscribed to the Bobby Charlton school of copping off in that if he approached 20 birds, he'd bank on pulling one (... a la Charlton's shoot on goal policy). Trouble was that if he didn't get smacked off the lady, her bloke would wade in and we'd have to rescue him.
  14. They never seem arsed about collecting money so it was easy to do one. Yep, had one of the paisley shirts, then bigger louder patterned shirts after that. More light on the dance floor!
  15. Absolutely! It was full suits in them days then pastel coloured jackets with polo necks.
  16. It was situated on the ground floor at the back where the bar would have separated that and the entrance. Was open till midnight-ish when the knobby lads songs came on. Probably closed around 1988 such that Pink Panther became the pre-club grub gaff before that sadly became no more. Needed some stomach lining after the pernod and black doubles in Bergeracs and Central Park spin the wheel offers. Happy days
  17. Remember when Ritzy had a pizza/salad bar? Used to have a pizza when Simple Minds "don't you forget about me"/INXS came on for the pissed up knobheads who'd dance piggy back stylee with their mates. Damn fine grub then the soul would come back on for the lads/ladettes to cop off to
  18. And another!
  19. Cool finish by Anelka pushes BS closer to the door
  20. Heard a few got battered
  21. This Smith/Wright is a cracker Wright 107 average and losing
  22. The Royal Flush was the best one for me where Rodney goes out with that posh bird, unfortunately they edited all the best bits out in recent years like when Juney threw up at the Theatre Royal and Del's jokes at the dinner table. The writer decided years later he didn't want to cast Del as too crude or summat.
  23. That was bullshit, nowhere near the ball and no sound
