I was there to see the 81-82 season. Can't beat it yet but showing promise. About time Sky give them some air time. A Challenge Cup final would be excellent, if not for the wallet!- Them Wigan C **nts.
The Athletic's Matt Slater has said the 125% bond the EFL want paying is £2.35m. Which would mean monthly wages are £1.88m each month or £22.5m per annum. Madness.- Challengers next season?
Not a challenger. Another club up for sale and f**ked. Fleetwood Town https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65723365- Challengers next season?
Yes staggering. £15m a year on crowds averaging 14k.- Challengers next season?
Think like us a few years back, they can now trade but every transfer is subject to EFL scrutiny against the submitted business plan. They ain't spending big. Reading have been under a transfer embargo since 2021, but think that may be lifted this summer along similar lines, but seeing as their 6 point deduction this last season was for breaching their business plan, they can expect very close EFL scrutiny. They've still got Andy Carroll contracted to June 24, he won't be cheap.- Glad our footy season is over roll call...
My Aunt was the owner and landlady of the Little John from the early 70s to the mid 90s I would guess. Always very basic inside but she knew how to keep a decent pint. Did more business at lunchtimes and match days than in the evening I think, Darts teams aside. Before that she had the Rothwell St Tavern near Derby Street. Long gone (the Tavern and Aunt). Back on topic. I was ready for a rest last week, but I'm already bored of no football.- Retain/Release?
Kachunga on his way?- The Name’s Bond
Maguire covered the bond in his POF podcast this week. He said it was an unsecured loan with the associated risk for investors but with a good return for individuals. Bolton were now a well run club and similar Tifosy Bonds for Norwich and QPR had been repaid on time. Peterborough's could be a bit more problematical as the company which owns the ground (not the club) has gone into admin, making things messy. For the club it is a cheap(er) form of finance at 8.5%, he said WBA were currently paying 14% for a loan from Macquarie I think.- Barnsley away spares
Vernon Kay's done a few aways. I've seen him at a couple, most recently Oxford. Must have had more loyalty points than me though.- Retain/Release?
Just found this. Must be announced by Tuesday! This year that deadline falls on Saturday, May 20, while clubs who reach the play-offs must submit their retained lists four days after their last match.- Retain/Release?
Joel Dixon - has few fans but still need a decent 2nd choice - Release MJ Williams - Versatile but we need better - Release Kieran Lee - love him but too injury prone this season - Release Josh Sheehan - shown flashes of quality but not a Champ player, can do a job at this level - New contract George Thomason - Evatt likes him but he's not in the starting line up - Keep on the hope he gets better. Lloyd Isgrove - great servant but time to move on. - Release Elias Kachunga - I like him (ducks) but when we signed him we had to wait for him to lower his wage demands so expensive. New contract on less money. Jon Dadi Bodvarsson - when fit he gives us another dimension - New contract. That frees up 4 places plus the returning loans. 10 news players needed on the assumption that Sads is going to be moved on.- Barnsley away 2nd leg
No pressure on the ball- Barnsley away 2nd leg
No just injured. Love the guy but think his time is up here regardless of which division we are playing in next season.- Barnsley away 2nd leg
- Dapo Afolayan
Scored tonight but just been sent off for a second yellow.- Todays Games

Game on!- The Name’s Bond
The offer document has a lot of unaudited financial information on the club from July 22 to 31 December 2022 including this In October 2022, the Group recorded a £3.6m disposal of a section of surplus land at the Lostock Training Ground to Belway Homes. You can only sell it once, but nice nonetheless.- The Name’s Bond
- Them Wigan C **nts.
Extended their early bird season ticket offer twice - now to the end of the month, no doubt to raise some ready cash. Unsurprisingly people are sitting on their hands to see how it all plays out.- Peterborough v sheff weds
