Glad our footy season is over roll call...

Anyone else relieved and glad its all over for a bit?

Felt proper drained with it all towards the end. Constantly planning and think of how to get to games and financial pressure.

Happy with a few months off

Know what you mean. I definitely have a bittersweet sense of relief that we've avoided getting smashed by Sheffield Wednesday at Wembley.

couple of months with no summer tournament should save me a few quid on sky bet

or

So did I - totally forgot I booked a weekend away so it removes that headache.

Football certainly takes a strain.  Especially when every away is 3 tickets and 3 seats on a coach before you've even set off.

To be honest I didn't have much hope at Wembley v Plymouth but we ripped them a new arse.  Got a couple of England internationals to attend, but glad it's over myself

Yep.

Defeat at Wembley after spunking £100's would have plummeted me to Stoke-esque lows.

I'm fortunate enough to still just about have a pot to piss in, but it's empty and I've spent the money I set aside to give Junior a helping start to Uni on taking them around the country this season instead.

Business is still quiet, sadly, as the cost of living greed crisis continues to bite for many of us.

Gayest post on here in a long time! When are the fixtures out 😉

Weekends without footy are crap! New season can't come soon enough for me.

Yeah pretty chuffed.

I’d have loved another week of it, personally. Not least because we gambled and took the risk. And after seeing the cost of the attractions in That London, we will be avoiding all chance of bumping in to any Sheff Weds & Barnsley and going to Brighton for the day.

Time to watch cricket in the sun every weekend now 😎

Quite happy football season is over, at least I've got cricket to keep me going all summer.  Don't know how anyone who isn't into either watching or playing a summer sport get through it, especially with no World Cup or Euros.

always glad to see the back of it, doesn't half drag on

plenty of days at the races for us & a couple of holidays

Already looking forward to next season to be honest. Plenty on over the summer though starting with a festival this week. It'll be August before we know it.

Yes. We had high expectations this season, most of which came up. It's been a great season, but I'm happy to have something else to bother about.

Three evenings a week bowling until August.

Big FA Cup day on the Piss yet

No football is rubbish. I have no other hobbies. This summer is now geared up to going to every pub in Bolton I haven’t been to yet and become a 100%er.

You could do a tour of local cricket grounds following @DazBob

Minority sports are not pubs I’m afraid.

Yes it’s wiped me out

in the pocket & it’s been near enough every Saturday on the piss

I must say I read it in a John Inman voice, with my hand over my forehead.

Conflicted - Bank Balance, wife, waistline, the cricket club all say yes

The rest of me, all those things put to one side can’t wait for that first game!

Like others the natural transition for me is to replace footy with cricket. Saturdays at Heaton, watching my lad (when his hand heals!) play, Lancs and  the Ashes etc.
