  1. Toal not in the NI squad today. Hope he's not crocked. Won 3-0 Dion didn't get on the pitch.
  2. Thanks. Finally watched it and enjoyed it. Can't wait for a second series and a third of Slow Horses. Apple TV don't have a lot of content but what they have is usually quality.
  3. Big compo deal agreed apparently. £9m quoted in this article. A lot of money but sounds like he's been through a lot and has "life altering" injuries. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-67107708
  4. Thanks to you guys for sorting and thanks for the update.
  5. Xisco Munoz potted by the Owls.
  6. This looks positive news. Hopefully back in the squad Saturday.
  7. At a loose end one night when working in London, I was a football tourist at Fulham. Tuesday 31 August 1993 Fulham v Wrexham in the Fourth Division (League 2). 0-0 with a crowd of 3685. I doubt I paid £16 let alone £160. Both plastic teams now.
  8. Just missed seeing him play for us. But enjoyed his boxing match with Big Norm.
  9. Thought I'd read she had given birth Tuesday but was still in hospital. Still a doubt though I guess.
  10. Loved The Man from Uncle
  11. In, but play Jones,Thomasson and Jerome. Dan and Bod for fitness plus 6 kids from B Team. Game not worth anyone else getting injured.
  12. Fair enough, the original post has been deleted so can't see what the ticket office was replying to now, but seen a higher figure mentioned as well, but if we've sold 1794 on the 1st day of sale for PV that would also be immense. On another note arrrived in that there London this afternoon, it's definately shorts weather and forecast to be 26c in Reading saturday.
  13. 1794 sold. Great effort.
  14. Ashworth didn't make the bench for Wales U21. It had about 12 players on it. Suspect he might have picked up a knock.
  15. I'll bite. GM is just an administrative construct from 1974, which was abandoned then resurrected. Bolton has always been geographically in Lancashire. Uni of GM is a crap idea, I could live with South Lancashire. Like Swanny I went to the Institute, I enjoyed it. I'm sure I would have enjoyed other places as well, maybe better. My son went to Oxford, he enjoyed that in part (the pandemic bit was shit). Comparing them though is like chalk and cheese. Oxford and Cambridge sit at the top of the world rankings in part due to their research reputation and income - ARM was spun out of Cambridge Uni and was valued overnight at $54bn on the NYSE. FibreLec is probably worth £5.40 if it still exists. When research is excluded - the Guardian rankings - Bolton has climbed to 30th. A good outcome (Championship) from an originally Non-Leaguer. It's horses for courses.
  16. Feel for you all. I'm sure it will work out fine for him. You're right the system puts so much pressure on young people to comply, but then I think it always did - Uni or Teacher Training in my day.

If they are selling the club, they are also selling the bondholder debt or paying it off before or as part of the sale. If the club goes bust bondholders might not get their money back, but they are ahead of shareholders for repayment. It's a loan not a handout, like a bank loan and the club have to make the 1st interest payment (8.5%) back to bond holders next June.
  18. Best bus services.
  19. Moshiri in the States trying to flog them to any dodgy vultures that will have them. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11671/12959639/everton-takeover-miami-based-777-partners-close-to-agreeing-full-takeover-of-premier-league-club
  20. Had the same thought. Oldest surviving Wanderers fan.

Still people leaving early to beat the traffic. Not got to 80 yet.

Just noticed there are a few app signs up on Tesco saying you can pay for more than 3hrs parking/90 mins for football parking. No idea of price.
  23. Watching Cambridge v Reading. Neither look a threat. Currently goalless. Reading play out from the back but are a mix of ageing old pros and lots of kids including Charlie Savage. Cambridge usual long ball. Kachunga not in the starting 11 but has just come on to be hacked down by Savage.

Tropical evening - In. Fair old run of home Tuesday night matches already. Presume Charles, Sheehan and Ashworth will not be available, so everyone else in our squad will have to play. Bod and Dan to start alongside Forrester, Maghoma, CMG and Morley. Shortest straw for the rest of the defence. Maybe Matheson and Hutch.
  25. I'm not sure the club and Evatt still fully appreciate the scale of fan disappointment with the manner of and result of the Wigan game. We were humiliated by them at our gaff for the second game running. Plus they all disappeared after the game. It doesn't warrant personal abuse though (or at any time) and IE has more than enough credit in the bank for people to cut him some slack. If chavs in corporate are giving him and Neil grief, tell them to do one as we don't want people like them around.
