Wigan's Pitch
Wigan RL's first three games away from home. They get on that pitch on 13 March. Will be complaining what a mess football has made of their pitch and they have to play a kicking game.

Egg Chasing
England had to nick a Wigan RL lad to score the tries though.

Getting Sussed Wearing Colours.
Was that a pre season game? Was walking down the same road with mate and his bird for same game I think. Hot day just a t-shirt on and scarf tied round my wrist like you di int hose days - dickhead. About 15 Burnley lads legged it over the road and gave me a good kicking, my mate legged it. Had to check my tackle was still working when I eventually got to the ground.

Daniel Sturridge
Went down the tunnel in disgust when Moreno let the ball go out on the touchline - on the highlights it was a bad pass from Holden. Just looked up at the screen below when the ball rolled into the net.

Tv Tonight
There's sweet fa on freeview any night for those of us without Sky. Virgin1/Channel 1 closed down yesterday, no doubt to become another shopping channel.

Wanderers 0 Wigan 0 FA Cup
Wheater was solid but got booked for a deliberate handball as the ball was about to bounce over his head. Thought Knight looked dodgy. Moses ran Ricketts ragged in first half but fortunately has no end product. Looked much better in last 20 minutes with our midget midfield of Blake, Holden, Davies and Moreno. SKD and Elmander looked complete strangers to each other. Elmander back to last season's form; through on goal after 10 seconds and managed to hit the keeper. Petrov poor again, Muamba's tackling better but passing crap. Wigan didn't look much threat and suppose we kept a clean sheet.

Rough Schools.
Went to Hayward - the Grammar School and lived on the council estate next door that is slagged off on t'other thread. Nowt wrong with either in my day -though it was a long time ago. Look what a fine upstanding citizen i turned out to be. Played rugby (union) for the school, we had a cracking team. Played at Ruffwood in Kirkby and I think we scared the shit out of them despite their name. Maybe we were not rights. Also played at Ducie High School in Manchester and a few in Widnes and Warrington which were fun!

I Would Sell Cahill
Form is temporary, class is permanent as they say. Cahill is above average but in poor form. Someone will pay good money for him, but not ?20m. ?10m is too cheap for one of our more saleable assets.

Bolton 0 Chelsea 4 (shocking)
Stayed until the end but embarrassing performance got muscled out and eventually bullied out of the game by Chelsea. Steinsson was shocking but so were most of the rest of the team. I don't mind losing but gutless performances like that make me very angry and what a night put that sort of performance in.

No Black Armbands, No Minutes Silence For Nat In The Prem
This our chance to pay our respect to our hero. Don't feel slighted at all that Prem League haven't done anything. Nat never played in the Premier League. Hopefully FA will do something - maybe in the programme at the next England game. To be fair, I've been impressed with the amount of coverage about Nat in the National press and TV. Respect paid by FIFA, UEFA, Football League, PFA, etc. At least with a monday night game the event should get good coverage on Sky and Ten O'clock News. Plus I would expect good coverage of his funeral.

Didn't know Tom Finney played for both Preston clubs and had a statue at each.

25 Man Squad List
Apparently we can change our list during the transfer window. According to Prem League site this is our current list of 24, although why Al Habsi, and JOB were named in it is beyond me. Presumably we couldn't have recalled Al Habsi if he was named in our squad. No Riga on the list, but Ward, Moreno and Alonso are all U21 Blake, Robert Bogdan, Adam Cahill, Gary Cohen, Tamir Davies, Kevin Davies, Mark Davis, Sean Elmander, Johan Gardner, Ricardo Holden, Stuart Jaaskelainen, Juusi Klasnic, Ivan Knight, Zat Lee, Chung Yong Muamba, Fabrice O'Brien, Andrew O'Brien, Joseph Petrov, Martin Ricketts, Sam Robinson, Paul Samuel, Jlloyd Steinsson, Gretar Taylor, Matthew Al-Habsi, Ali AOB has gone and no point naming JOB, Davis, Gardner & Samuel unless they get fit. We need to get a few more experienced and fit bodies in or the squad will be less than 20, but no sign of them yet - Wheater apart.

Was thinking about bouncing up and down to Jona Louis on Burnden terrace to keep warm on the way to the ground yesterday , and they were playing it on the loudspeaker as we went up to our seats.

Everton V Bolton Lc Semi-Final 77.
Don't know how many fans we took for Goodison, but hard to park miles away from the ground and couldn't find our van after the match - no it hadn't been knicked! Didn't the floodlights at Burnden fail for 2nd leg?
