Score Predictions For Lisbon?
There's only Diouff that surprises me on that list. I thought having not played last week and with that shambles of a pitch at the JJB not being ideal for diouffs style for 90 mins he would have got some kind of run out on Thursday. Still think we can field a side that can do a job Al Habsi Hunt Samuel Meite Cahill Campo J O Brien Guthrie Stelios Helguson Taylor 1-1 penalty win for the Whites! COME ON

Ale

In 12 Short Months
We had a similar discussion post match yesterday. There are a number of reasons for this; the board not backing BSA (understandable and debatable from both sides), BSA taking his eye of the ball from mid season onwards last season, the departure of BSA, Little Sams disaster, sale of Anelka, not managing to replace Anelka. Personally I don't blame Megson, I don't think he has done much wrong since his appointment (maybe Rasiak, but it was always going to be a gamble based on the fact there wasn't the available quality around)And I disagree I don't think we are toothless and spineless - maybe under Lee, but not under Megson. You don't get some of the results he has got by being spineless. The main difference between this year and years previosly is consistency. With all the changes that have been made both on and behind the scenes it isn't suprising we are lacking consistency. But to answer your question no its not too late. We can survive and move onwards (maybe upwards), hard for some people to see after 2 heavy defeats but nevertheless still realistic IMO

Grzegzorzszszsz Rasiak
An easy mistake to make confusing those 2

2nd Half
Making rash decisions to drop our most consistent players after a defeat by Liverpool is wrong IMO

Absolutely No Doubt We Will Go Down
You're watching a different game to me if you think we are making a conscious decision to go out there and defend a 0 - 1 scoreline. When a team has got the momentum and players like gerrard and Babbel are tearing you apart like they were you have no choice - you are under the cosh and have to try to defend. If anything, in pushing forward when we were 0-1 down (albeit uneffictively) we were giving them more space to attack us.

The Reason We Lost That Game
I believe the reason we lost that game is beacuse not one of our players would get in Liverpool's side. It always has and always will be the same, we can occassionally knock the top 4 out of there stride but more often than not we will loose. Look at the performance of Gerrard yesterday - he was fantastic, not much any side in the world could do in stopping him when he is on form like that. I am not going to fall into the trap of predicting a demise of relegation after losing to Liverpool. Yes there were problems highlighted yesterday and the last 2 games in terms of results look ugly. But I still think we can get the 10 points neede to stay up.

Nearly Time For Spain - So Where Is The Place To Go?
I thought this advice was absolutely spot on. The Tapas bars/restaurants on Santa Ana were great. Anyone see the guys on the accordion and the crazy dancer!? Mayor was the "square" which has now become defined as a must for Bolton's Euro excursions Sol - didn't get it, few decent bars on the side streets, but basically just a busy traffic island

Time To Drop Kevin Davies
Why is Kevin Davies in our side; 1/ Outstanding workrate 2/ Strength/Ability to hold the ball up 3/ Support play, bringing others into the game 4/ Flexibility in playing anywhere across our front line 5/ Target man when needed - like it or not our best chances of scoring will come from percentage play, often coming from flick ons from Davies 6/ Arguably the most committed player to wear the BWFC shirt in the present era Yes we would love to see him score more goals, but he is the lynchpin of all our forward play, take him out of the equation and our chances of staying up will severly diminish.

Front Page Headlines
Front Page of Bolton News reads "The Big Euro Rush" and reports that 214 of our seats are sold and just 8 remain! Bring it on - see you at the airport tomorrow!

Why The Singing Stand Almost Didn't Work.
Playing devil's advocate here, last night did work and will continue to work as long as folk are happy to compromise. If you want a good atmosphere and a full house accept that kids like banging bam bams and dads wanted to take their kids in the singing section. There were 12 of us in the North Lower including a couple of kids, we stood when we could, sat when others sat, joined in with the 90 minute long chanting including some of the more traditional songs and enjoyed the whole experience - a great effort from all involved.
-
Esl Vs Nsl
It's hard to tell when youare in the thick of it - but the North Stand lower middle section behind the goal was fantastic, surely we made more noise than ESL!! Well done to who I am presuming is Colin and his crew for the continuous non stop singing for the whole 90 minutes, nearly lost my voice this morning

50th Year Tribute
Don't see what the issue is. You have a minutes silence, you respect it and then move on. We managed it 10 years ago at OT when it was the 40th anniversary.

Maybe A Seb, But
We were in the umbro stand as well, I remember a few getting chucked out when sellars put that one in. I just covered my face with my hands and silently celebrated - hard to contain the emotion. At the end of the game, without exaggeration, there were thousands of whites splattered around Maine Road that night. The most bwfc fans sat in the home end for an away game? Although come to think of it I remember a couple of Wigan games at Springfield park where we completely took over the ground

Move To The North Stand Lower
Great idea, count me + 4/5 for Madrid game, if it works out might consider changing season ticket there next season!

Absolute Garbage
As pissed off as I was yesterday with what was agreeably a poor game, a performance which understandably lacked cohesion and most annoying another fcuking last minute goal from the dingles which sunk us, on reflection its a performance that was no worse than our previous three home games against the dingles which we lost 1-2, drew 0-0 and lost 0-1. All these games have followed a similar pattern of long balls, percentage football and a physical battle which Blacburn have shaded us on each time. Arguably its this style of football that has got us out of the perilous situation we were in when Lee left - yesterday as in the previous 3 years (it pains me to say) we were beaten by a side who on the day were better than us.
-
Nolan!
It shouldn't do, but it surprises me and sickens me that one of our own would get booed off, even more so that its our club captain, who always gives 110% and last night was out there with 18 stitches in his head playing under the influence of pain killing injections. For me he always has and always will lay himself on the line for BWFC, regardless of how much they are getting paid you can't expect any more than this.

So Its Capello
I can't decide whether I like this appointment or not, good track record, disciplinarian which is what the England team needs, but don't like the fact he can't speak English. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/7137847.stm
