Wanderers V Stoke
Come on there was hardly anyone delighted in the appointment - the view was moderated for the benefit of supporting our club.

Not Bothered
I am also of the opinion that the reaction this weekend and the post match comments mark a significant change in the mood of those who have previously put aside their opinions of Megson to get behind the team and support him. While I can partly understand Megson's reaction and to be honest he looks completely awkward in the interview and is desperate to move off topic and his comments are probably aimed at those dissenters and abusers who have let their vitriolic hatred cloud any support of the club. The reaction is misguided, inappropriate and the "not bothered" comment may possibly be his downfall. Its a deep wedge that may possibly be irreconcilable. Like bolty has previously intimated, I hate to see the bedsheet brigade win and I have utter contempt for those who would rather see us lose to achieve their aims - we are better off without those sorts.

You sound like a depressant and a predictor of gloom. Want Bolton to lose on Saturday do you? There's a few on here who do, I suggest you join them. http://forum.theboltonnews.co.uk/viewtopic...sc&start=15

Chris Evans
If I said I didn't know what megson had said, how would I "know" what was asked or wasn't? It was merely hypothetical based on comments in the media usually being in response to questions of such like.

Chris Evans
I have no idea whether Megson did or didn't say those things. But if asked a question, "Gary do you think the negative chants and atmosphere today helped the players?" he would look a bit silly if he said anything other than No

What A Waste Of Money
Of course they do, but that isn't the point here. We needed cover in defence, we needed a wide right player, we needed a sriker, we managed to recruit in those areas. Ideally we would have all (including Megson and his backroom team) liked to have seen a creative midfielder added, unfortunately, and this may be for many reasons - not the right player for the right money, club won't let them go etc etc - this type of player wasn't available for Bolton Wanderers, they will no doubt address this again in January.

Ben Dover - Going Straight
Is he out of contract? He could be the creative player we are after, he has proven himself to be pretty good in the hole

Next 3 Games
While I disagree with your opinion, I think you put your opinion across sensibly, with some valid points and for me it's pretty clear you are not in the "Mugson, Ginger Wanker Bracket" The reason I disagree is I think we will only progress with stability and consistency. Since BSA and the the short reign of Sammy Lee, the club has needed a complete overhall, both on the pitch and behind the scenes. I am not trying to say that we are in a fantastic position or that Megson is Mr Persona and the answer to all our problems, far from it, but he has done what has been asked of him, keeping us up, he has made some astute signings ( I know also some questionable, but doesn't every manager?) and established players have signed contract extensions as well as buliding a good (not excellent yet) backroom team. IMO to de-stabalise this, with a knee jerk reaction, for me would cause us more problems than letting the team , management and backroom staff battle this out. It may be another struggle with possibly a mid table finish if we get our act together. While this isn't good enough for many it's good enough for me. Come on you Whites!

Not according to William Hague yesterday who clearly stated that there wouldn't be a National Referendum - not like politicians and parties to change their mind eh?

Uk Open Darts
I had a brief chat with a guy of this description while watching the Mather v Nicholson game. If so you made me spit my beer out when questioned by the Bolton Hospice bird selling charity tickets whether you would like to "buy a book for a fiver?", and you you mischievously replied "would like to buy a what?" while scrambling around to get your fiver out. She eventually clicked the joke with the rhyming connotation of "book" and was suitably embarrassed! It was a great match and a great night, hope it does stay at the Reebok, would certainly look at getting there again next year.

Uk Open Darts
Come on, looking forward to this first visit to the darts! I see that the beer is nothing to shout about then? Is it a bit of a nightmare getting served as well? Do they serve it up in jugs or is it individual pints? Cheers

Elmander
Interseting to hear Jeff Stelling and the crew taliking about "Flops" this season, amongst that list was our very own Johan Elmander - bit harsh to be labelled a flop I feel. But another indication to highlight he certainly hasn't had a good season! Let's hope he proves this lot and plenty of others wrong next season - would be nice to finish the season off with a goal tomorrow.

Burnley
Me too. Every other car had some scarf or flag flying from the windows. I hope they do it, would love to see em beat bastud rovers in the battle of the dingles next year! It would be another away must for next season, seen us play there 3 times and win every time, good memories.
