  1. Some nonsense being spouted about this fight already. The Klitschko brothers are proving problematic to arrange a bout with - the discussions last year would have meant Haye fighting for f*ck all. He then chose to fight Valuev in the hope of winning a world title and then being in a much better position to negotiate. Job done on the title front but no luck so far with a fight with either of the Klitschkos. I remember reading that there was some wrangling about a possible re-match with Valuev as it was written in the original contract. Not sure if this dragged on so long that both Klitschkos arranged other fights or whether all 3 of them are less keen on the fight than they like to admit to. Whatever the issue is a fight between Haye and one of the Klitschkos at least with certainly happen next year (providing none of the lose in the meantime). Now, this fight with Harrison. At present there are very few heavyweights out there who offer a genuine payday - and let's be honest until a Haye Klitschko flight the only viable contests are ones that would generate a big payday. It's hardly the golden era of heavyweights at the moment is it. Harrison, due to his bizarre career and being British, provides a huge payday for what should be a relatively easy bout for Haye. I know that Harrison is technically accomplished but he lacks the killer instinct and can't take a punch - so much so that he turns his head away when he gets too close and at times even flinches. Amusingly he claims he's felt, and dealt with, Haye's punching power in sparring in the past. Two things, firstly it's very rare that boxers try and knock each other out in sparring and secondly the gloves are a lot more padded in sparring in an attempt to avoid injury. In summary I think Haye sees this as a chance to earn a lot of money for an easy night's work. The added bonus of this will be to finally see Harrison give up his ridiculous claims that he will win a world title.
  2. Me plus 3 - staying over and having a jar or 12 in Angel afterwards
  3. I doubt the tattoos will be the worse thing about her body when she's collecting her pension to be honest.
  4. Nice one, happy days!
  5. Tremendous news! Do I have to prove that I do trade at all?
  6. I've got a friend who has a traders policy as he does something similar and he advised me to explore that route. The problem is the car I've got is worth quite a bit more than ?7,500 and is classed as high performance as it's 3.5L and 300bhp. My annual premium is around ?1,200 which I can live with, it's just the thought of the excess that's a bit troubling!
  7. ?3k, not ?3m... I've got a Nissan 350z GT
  8. As someone has pointed out it has little relevance to your own car's worth - just because your car may be worth less than a grand doesn't mean it is any less likely to cause damage that runs into tens of thousands of pounds (in fact some providers increase the co-efficient on the assumption that drivers of less valuable cars are inherently less arsed about it and drive with less caution on average). I'm 30 next year, have 4 years NCD and my premium is ?1,500 a year with compulsory excess of ?3,000. Makes me a careful driver I tell thee.
  9. Good shout, had almost forgotten about Davis. Muamba and Davis as two deeper midfielders would be a good option against teams who could potentially overrun us.
  10. Yes, but he clearly should be a holding player - his attributes are perfect for the role. That's not to say that over time he won't/can't develop his game so that he's effective in breaking forward. Out of interest, if we are to use a holding midfielder who would you have there?
  11. I've just realised you're the same person who doesn't rate Wilshere. If I'd have remembered that sooner I wouldn't have even bothered replying. Your opinions are about as much as use as nun's tits.
  12. Rov'rum away. My mate plays for them and I'd get a free ticket. Yes I'm cheap...
  13. Really? What's the Fabrice lads surname again?
  14. Nat came to our primary school in the 80s to present us with trophies for winning the local cup. My dad is a Bolton fanatic and brought my uncles and Grandad along - he's still got all the photos at home. I remember having the picture taken and seeing my dad wiping a tear from his eye - really didn't get it at the time. I can't imagine a modern day footballer having that kind of impact. A genuine one-off and just hearing his name makes you proud to be a Boltonian. Sad to hear his health plight.
  15. Take your point about Johnson's defensive frailities but Cole? I think this side of his game is really underrated - I remember him containing Rinaldo quite comfortably at international level on a couple of occasions. Not many defenders can say that.
  16. His comments are funny to read but is it only me who finds him fucking annoying when trying to listen to the commentary?
  17. Was disappointed they didn't play the Apollo at Christmas this year. Feels like I've been to that gig every year for the last 4 or 5 until the one just gone.
  18. They've had a few at Dale recently who were tipped for big things (some of my mates know Keith Hill really well) - Will Buckley (I think we were linked with him at one stage), Kallum Higginbotham (Arsenal were linked with him but he's struggled recently and been on loan at Accrington I think), Adam Le Fondre (now leading L2 scorer at Rotherham). Looks like they're finally going to end that never-ending spell in the bottom flight!!!
  19. There must be some lower league players who would be worth a gamble? Dawson at 19 for example.....got to be others. Anyone watch lower leagues regularly?
  20. He certainly is doing....try as I might to get it off him!
  21. Was playing for Radcliffe Borough last year!
  22. My dad and uncle went down to Burnden to watch the Brazil team train. My uncle was hit in the face by a stray shot which knocked him over and cut his head open. They were only about 9 and 11 at the time and were taken into the dressing room to be looked at by the medic. My dad said he was just staring at Pele the whole time. My uncle was given a little comemorative medal that he's still got now.
  23. A Brief History of Time is a fascinating read. If you enjoy that kind of thing I'd recommed Cosmos by Carl Sagan - very, very good.
  24. How many times are we going to concede a goal where the opposition connects with the ball well within the 6 yard box and Jaaskelainen is on his fukcin knees behind the line? For someone of his size he is soft as shite....his own goal against Spurs being the perfect example.
