Did anyone see that “ go back where you came from” on C4 last night? basically they’ve got 6 people , 4 with pretty strong anti immigration views and 2 from the opposite end of the spectrum, they’ve visited the places boat people are travelling from to get an idea of their conditions and what it’s like. presumably to see if they’ll change their minds as the series progresses. Think they have to make the journey , one group in Mogadishu and one gone to Raqqa in Syria .

I’d agree, however, I once got caught carrying a knife , well I volunteered the information , at Wigan in the 80s we all were getting searched coming off the train it was a genuine error, I had been fixing a motorbike and had left it in my jacket pocket , along with a small screwdriver. Yes , agree, but the best way to use the the current technology is the decision to be made as each has pros and cons and each better suited to a different application. They can’t just start building current available technologies, that’s the issue One size doesn’t fit all , even if they had the money now, its getting the right storage solutions assessed and agreed that is the main issue and there’s loads of variables , it’s not that they’re just not building national storage because of money , though that’s a factor . it’s getting the mix right

The need to assess the most efficient storage is required, not just a case of cracking on a building say loads of batteries. Not just storing it but by what method is key. hydrogen is being looked at as a storage option , we have loads of salt caverns due to lucky geology , but there’s issues in loss of efficiency with that . not just a case of cracking on and building “ storage” , different types of storage is required and the mix and efficiency , along with the infrastructure and issues with each needs addressing . High load storage, storage for continuous along with volt drop in transmission from certain types . long term storage for the expected demand would never reap it’s investment back at the moment, meaning investment is hard to come by obviously but there are serious ongoing developments in storage requirements money is an issue but even waving a magic wand wouldn’t solve it at the moment

I’m watching it, enjoying it too. seems fashionable to say it’s not as good this year but I think there’s some good twists and debates. plus I’ve uttered words I’d never thought I’d say “ that army officer would get it “ 😄

All those were gritted but grit doesn’t prevent snow from settling on it nor melt it when it does , it needs the churn to mix it into the snow. it’s a common “ council are useless” claim every time it snows as the snow just sits on top of grit heavy snow, weekend night quiet traffic so chaos first thing when comparative light traffic builds up until such a time as it all gets churned up and starts the thaw. ploughs are the only way of clearing snow immediately but on most of our roads that would be a slow process as they can’t just plough it on to the pavement and that’s what would happen with a standard plough. don’t work for any council but do occasionally work with lads who work the gritters and ploughs and they love it waking up after a long shift to see people saying they’ve done fuck all 😄

I used to get poached egg on toast in there and it was the nicest thing I’d ever tasted as a young lad , it was a real treat going in there as a kid for that. my kids on the other hand at the same age only wanted nuggets or burgers and wouldn’t consider a poached egg as a treat , unless McDonald did it with a stupid toy , probably the same as all kids their age and which also shows the change in habits that lead to these kind of places demise .

So does sea weed , that’s my point, it isn’t quite different , it’s the same thing but ones natural and ones man made but they both do the same thing , block the offending enzyme if reducing gas by inhibiting the enzyme is all this boaver does that is , as I totally agree with the additives bit , and base was a good example , but in this case, as I understand , yes one’s a natural way of doing it , well uses natural ingredient at least and the other a man made additive that does the same thing within the cow ?

So do other things in other feeds though ? same as some things make us fart more and some things prevent farting and change how you react to foodstuffs etc? don’t think it’s harmful to the cow ? May be wrong as I haven’t read much of this , there may be more than breaking down enzymes , but farmers been giving digestion aids in feeds for years , seaweed etc, not sure what’s so bad about this one and why it’s caused such a response that previous things didn’t ?
