Spoke to a neighbour whose using some box with Plex installed. Seems pretty decent but doesn't fair too well with HD, keeps stopping and 'loading'. Our broadband speed is dog wank and supposedly can't yet get sky/BT fibre. If we could, it would be cheaper to pay for fibre and fuck sky package off. Until we can though normal sky is best option. Probably best not to push for too much in case they called our bluff.

My sky plus HD box just went bang, smell of electrical burning and appears totally fucked. What's the best move; see if sky will replace it for nowt, (not paying for a new one) get it repaired (if so where?), or do something else. HD is a must. Can't watch door and cricket the old way.

New house farm. One resident complained about some scrubby stuff spoiling his view. I was sent to strim it down etc. Moved one piece of fly tip and found several great cresteds under it. Replaced the rubbish and rang it in. Shortly after it was cleared by someone else. More recently, the new cycle way appeared right in the same place. Don't get me wrong, happy to have it, and there is still suitable habitat for them, but as in the first instance, blind eyes can be turned to due process.
