  1. Looking at the team that finished Saturday, and like most of us thought it before this season, the lack of heart and know-how is all-too obvious. For me, K.Davies will put his heart in to it and with his presence and guile, can play a big role and I've seen no-one playing that role that can hold a candle to his game. I know he's been caught out and shown-up for lack of finesse but, for me, he's a better player to have in there for understanding and, yes ,nuisance value (especially in the position we've got ourselves into) than any other contender. And he could pop up with the odd goal. I'm sold
  2. My team to fix this horrible situation would be the same as Mount's but I'd leave Kevin Davies in at right wing. He's played that position effectively loads of times, more so in BSA's times, but will always contribute and will improve the overall solidity of team. After all, he's been there and done it and we are desperately in need of old heads who know what it means to play for the Whitemen and he certsinly appreciates that. Yes, we'll lose a little creativity but he is a safer bet than Eagles and that leaves Kakuta/Eagles to come off the bench when legs are weary. That's my take, anyway.
  3. Jussi was our best player. And you don't put a player through two matches in 4 days who's just been out with a career-threatening injury for 6 months. Apart from that, great message.
  4. Robinson is suspended. Got booked in aftermath of Chelsea's goal - and as this game was on Dec 29th, he's banned. Alonso it is ....or is it Mat Taylor with Petrov infront?? Either way - severely understrength
  5. For me, Gudni Bergsson represented all that is good about Bolton Wanderers and still does. His legacy lives on.
  6. angryman rather than anewman would suit you.
  7. Not worth rising to him. Won't understand. He's as thick as they come.
  8. you pay money to vodafone with their links to our favourite football neighbours? do you not have any respect when finance comes into it? You sicken me
  9. 'effin bulmah that comment. Carlton Thomas is not even a first team regular yet at th'emirates! Normally don't give a flying one about the England team but Cahill's debut and now this shows that it still counts. Proud as punch for Super Kev - if anyone's deserved a cap over the past 5 seasons or so, he has.
  10. I preferred The Milltown Brothers, personally.
  11. No stuffing and a snip at 30 quid, I'd say! Hope you enjoyed it - half season tickets could be the answer. White Army
  12. What do you expect! Sympathy? For the record, you've always come across as a Wanderers die-hard. Why then are you (seemingly) complaining about having to pay the going-rate for a home ticket against the old enemy?
  13. Des Lyttle, indeed. Did represxent Forest in Prem. And how's about this - bought by West Brom in 2000 by a certain...yep, you've guessed it. Our friend Gary 'the Megster' Megson. Surprised we didn't see him dowm the Reebok - a winter deadline day-type signing Megson dreams of!
  14. I'm reasonably happy with this window and reckon Owen has, as he states, done business creatively BUT the worst thing about is it that we are still lumbered with Shittu (20k/wk?) , Samuel (?15k?) and Riga (5k) - tot these up and we're burning a hell of a lot of wedge....for what? At least, as far as my understanding goes, there is still a possibility of "emergency loan deals" with clubs outside Premier League until next week. Samuel to 'boro Shittu to Watford Riga to Riga That would make make it a beltin' window, for me
  15. You're right - I meant that it was Warhurst and Newsome who got it together at the back when we were leaking goals for fun. Wish I hadn't bothered now!
  16. Well said. Man U should always&forever be the enemy - suspect anyone around is not one of us...make sure they know who we are.
  17. I must say that the Vitoria experience was, for me, the best. Their lads were bob on - handing out the spliff happy as - and handing out souvnirs willy-nilly. Full respect for those boys.
  18. I disagree - thought we were solid, especially in the second half. Zat Knight back to his England best! They didn't really have any chances, did they? All in all, we deserved the win I feel - onwards and..!
  19. will you stop fcukin' bleating about mccann this, mccann that - he's a ball winner and keeps it well most of the time. As he did when coming on against Arsenal. Get over him.
