  1. Burning Man is definitely a draw, but it's super hard to get tickets and you get to see far FAR too many man-parts for my liking. Tahoe is BEAUTIFUL, summer or winter. Some of the other things are very time-specific, such as Hot August Nights and Street Vibrations, and the Reno Rodeo is a lot of fun. I would definitely say there's something for everyone here, especially if you're into outdoorsy stuff.
  2. I can't recommend where I live - it's nice, but definitely not touristy. Of all the places I've been, I can definitely say New York is worth seeing, perhaps LA and/or San Diego. Las Vegas is ok, San Francisco is pretty nice. I've always wanted to go to Nashville, personally. Either way, same as I'd say to anyone on here, if you're passing by Reno give me a shout.
  3. Yeah let's not go the American route. I like that a footy game fits inside a 2 hour window.
  4. "If" being the operative word. Sheffield have those points already in the bag.
  5. My God, I thought I was the only one.
  6. Could do with a 0-0, honestly. Second best result would be a marginal Sheffield win, to help cement us in second.
  7. Think it was actually Beevers. https://twitter.com/OfficialBWFC/status/831622502514323458
  8. To be fair, Spider was the first to mention it...
  9. He's always hit and miss for me, that fella. Works better over here, for most folk, possibly because he's a Brit.
  10. It requires less mouth movement between sounds so they're less likely to trip over their words - probably something that is "taught" in TV Presenter circles. Though it is wrong.
  11. I didn't discount his penalty record, I said that if you don't count them in his total he's scored the same as Madine. The real question here is how difficult penalties are considered. I may have oversimplified them, but they're certainly easier to score than a goal from open play (The grandma thing was probably a touch too far though). I haven't seen Zach play as much as you all have, for obvious reasons, but whenever I've seen him he seems very immobile but with good feet. That isn't what you need in League 1. He could turn out to be a worldbeater, but I think if we look back in 10 years, 2.5m which "saved" the club will look like VERY good business. First up, you don't know me (so please don't pull out the Yank comments). Bolton born-and-bred, who just happens to live and work overseas. Secondly, I didn't ever say that the free kicks didn't count. See above reply to Zico - we may live to regret this, but I don't think we will.
  12. Scoring penalties IS exactly as easy as I think. You've got 192 square feet of goal to hit, and only one person in the way. That was just God awful from Madine.
  13. That's not how it works. Behave.
  14. So I don't have all the stats, but I'm not sure where people are getting that Clough should have been worth more. He got 9 goals this season, 3 were penalties, and 2 were free kicks. As I've said, I don't know all the stats (assists, missed chances etc), but even if you only take away the penalties (my grandma could score penalties) then he was on 6, which is the same as Madine who everyone here thinks is severely shit (and who got those 6 all from open play). Take away the free kicks and he's only on 4... the same as one of our centre backs. 2.5m and a stay from bankruptcy seems like good business to me, especially seeing as we've replaced him with a "proven" goalscorer and someone with some actual pace.
  15. Confirmation picture, as usually requested.
  16. I'm not gonna lie, as a recent immigrant over here it's a little sketch. Admittedly, it's less worrying when you're white.
  17. We do... just only of the bad kind.
  18. Glad you pointed that out before I said it a much more colourful way.
  19. I'm listening to Wanderers Player at the moment. Christ on a bike, Tony Kelly isn't very good at commentary. He's passionate, but I have no clue what's going on when he's talking.
  20. Bury are absolutely smashing Peterborough. Well, James Vaughan is...
  21. I know 2 English guys here in Reno. One is West Brom and one is City. This might get tasty. He's already trying to get me to put money on it.
  22. His performances aren't the problem; he doesn't have to prove himself... it's the salary that's the stumbling block.
