What happened to rubber bullets or tazers? Would that not have been a better way to sort it at the time? If he had pulled a gun then yeah shoot to kill that is fair enough. Scum or not that family has lost a loved one and they are only going to be angry about it. If someone shot someone in your family how would you react?

Signing Spearing was another pressure campaign against the club, we had a negative summer with the Quick Quid saga etc and the club had lost the confidence of the facebook brigade. I personally think we would have done better to invest the Spearing money elsewhere but at the same point I wasn't grumbling about getting Spearing back. Alonso on the other hand was a goner months before he did, he couldn't defend but was a good footballer - would I have him back? In a heartbeat - we have lost something on the wings this year with Ricketts and Alonso gone, they were good attacking full backs (yes I know Baptiste has scored 4).
