  1. I know what you mean pal. My old man (88) and father in law (92) were both huge supporters and responsible for 3 more generations of Wanderers. Neither has been able to make it to a game in a good few years now but they'll both be watching on the box and getting worked up.
  2. Just walked across my first LGBT rainbow crossing. Lovely. #Khan'sLondon ❤️
  3. Wagons roll. Presumably the Motorways will be full of last minute Smoggies
  4. I remember reading that piece in WH Smiths with bile rising in my throat.
  5. That is feckin brilliant 👏 👌
  6. I liked the suggestion yesterday that every Southampton fan who turned up to their last game with binoculars, or dressed as a hedgerow, should be made to stand outside Wembley on Saturday and personally hand their tickets over to Middlesbrough fans.
  7. He was an utter c*nt but how we could do with someone of his ilk now (aside from his disastrous EU gambling tendencies)
  8. That early kick off will make for a very long afternoon if we lose. 3 of us after Oxford travelled back to our hotel via a pizzeria in complete silence. Aside from a death in the family I dont think I've ever felt as flat. Mind you, it was the complete opposite after Plymouth. We practically skipped into the west end for more beer!
  9. SSN say an appeal is likely on the level of punishment. It has to be submitted no later than tomorrow
  10. I noticed Sky aren't even promoting our match on their red hot weekend. Hull v Southampton (it's still saying that), full PL programme then motor cars and golf.
  11. How the feck are Middlesbrough going to sell tickets and sort transport to Wembley for thousands in 48-72 hours?
  12. I bet this upset a few flag shaggers today!
  13. I liked the post that said "Best away fans since Leeds about 15 years ago". That's quite an accolade. Fair play to them, the vast majority quite honest and fair in their assessment. Hopefully we go up this year and I'd be happy to see them come up next.
  14. Feckin Celtic get a VAR assisted penalty in the last minute. Cheating fecks
  15. The God's of football just won't allow that to happen. Celtic now level. All heading for the inevitable Celtic victory and title win when they meet each other at the weekend.
  16. This week's feckin dragging ain't it?
  17. He was. Chandler's successes were during his first stint here. I'm sure he scored over a dozen in succession and cant recall him missing one. Ironically, at the other end, Farnworth was pretty good at keeping them out. He couldn't catch a cold though!
  18. Have we had a better penalty taker than Jeff Chandler? I dont recall him ever missing one.
  19. Home crowd were superb tonight but what is it about Yorkshire sides? Barnsley,Huddersfield and Bradford all bring plenty but make less noise than a few hundred Mansfield or Lincoln fans.
  20. Absolutely. Particularly with another game on Thursday.
  21. BadEnoch seems to be getting cut a lot of slack amidst Labour's capitulation. Council elections for the main opposition, particularly 2 years after a GE, usually see strong support yet they've currently lost just short of 600 seats.
  22. Duck Egg replied to stevieb's topic in Behind The Stands
4 here too but no idea what the word means. They used to make Wanderers shirts though.
  23. No boats spotted in Westhoughton so far, so perhaps they're getting things done.
  24. According to Facebook, Reform have won both Westhoughton council seats. The comments suggested the result will both make Keir step down and stop the boats. I had no idea our parish Council was so pivotal.
