Aye, condolences @desperado really hope we can win for your brother in law. Lost my brother in law, also a big Wanderer, a few days before the Crawley promotion win. We spent that week saying the football didn't matter in such circumstances but we were kidding ourselves. Of course it did.
The one game I said at the start of the season I was happy to miss. I hate going there and certainly don't want to give them any of my hard earned. I'll probably be having a wobble the day before though.
Another win. Another week of the new players gelling and the injuries getting better. Get through this period, then smash it right to the end of the season.
It's all made up bollocks too. A prime minister of some European country is supposed to have said "We haven't paid but will you still help us out if we get invaded?"
Aye, alreet Donald.
He is right about the 2% though. Surely all members should be paying that as agreed. I heard this morning that Germany haven't managed 2% in years.
A draw away in such circumstances is a decent point, provided of course, we win our home games. I'm not convinced we can win at Blackpool, Barnsley, Derby or Wigan, so home form is key if we want top 2.
I hope it's better organised than the pizza cup match.
Steward - "Sit in the seat your ticket is allocated to"
Me - "How do we know which row is which?"
Steward- "Aye, sorry about that. They painted the letters on before the season but they came off in the rain"
On the upside, how great is it that we've got a team the town wants to watch, all over the country? Might as well enjoy it. Tickets might be much easier to come by once we're either getting dicked every week in the Championship or have another season in L1 to contemplate.
My main memory of Parry is the morning after the Villa LC semi final, where he spent most of the show insisting Jay Jay's wonder strike was a cross. That cemented his bellend status for me. Everything he's ever said or done since, has only confirmed it.
