only stopped for a night on the way back once. Pretty place, and like most places in France, has a nice chilled out vibe. Ended up having a few drinks and a meal with a couple of owd blokes who were Chelsea fans ... I overheard them talking about Chelsea in the 1970s and 80s, so I gatecrashed. Turned out to be brothers and a cracking pair of blokes. And to be fair, they tilted things in our lass's favour by saying we had to see the lights.

If they're still doing the light show on the cathedral at nights, it's well worth seeing. I only went cos our lass was keen, but it was ace.

Been a few comments on Conway. For me, first half he was below par - the lad's set a high bar in fairness. It's the second time he's had a (relatively) poor first half, can't remember the other. On both occasions he's been miles better in the second. I take that as a big positive about the lad's character.

the goals'll come. I've enjoyed every game - exciting football, how it's supposed to be. Watched enough shite over the years to enjoy a bit of entertainment for a change. If you haven't, fair enough.
